Nice pool
This hotel was being built onto while we stayed here so the view from the pool is a nice rice field but also watching (and hearing) people build the new part of the hotel. The room was nice but the power went out several times while we were staying here. The staff were friendly.
Rooms were large, they need maintenance as we had a leak dripping on our floor. Bathroom had many leaks. Wifi was bad, couldn't watch tv as it kept freezing. In need of more lighting around path ways. Dont expect much for breakfast. Regardless of this we enjoyed our stay. Property was pretty and gardens nice. Close to restaurants and entertainment.

Desayuno poco variado

New management in difficult circumstances
i have stayed at this resort when it was under a different management. The eruption has had an adverse effect on tourism in Bali as well as Ubud. This resort too had to face it. The place is still good and before occupying one should look at the terms and conditions and satisfy that one is getting a good bargain. The new management is doing their best and i wish them all the best.
Staff is very nice, however not trained for service. Very unclean beds, smelled like sweat. Bathroom was filthy. No one changed sheets or cleaned my bed during my stay, so no housekeeping. No toiletries provided either. There was a kitchen which is nice, but dirty as well. I like the location, however needs more lightning during the darker hours.
tardy interior complete with mouldy walls, poorly lit, service poor as little to know english spoken, overall i would not recomend for price charged. "Not" a resort !
This was the worst resort I have ever seen in my life

Small, neat hotel walking distance to the centre
Upon arrival the room was very clean and welcoming. It was close to all main facilities with the Main Street of Ubud and the art markets walking distance. There are a selection of good eateries along the street a short walk and the included breakfast was delicious. Staff were always so friendly and willing to help. Would stay here again.
We booked this hotel for a two night stay, but liked it so much we stayed an extra day. The room was big and really comfortable with a verandah and private tropical garden. Bathroom was really nice with a window out to the garden. Lovely pool area and pool was very clean. Wifi and cable tv were great for the kids.Beds were really comfortable and room was cleaned daily with fresh linen and towels provided. Other amenities in room like coffee /tea and fridge were great. The staff were really friendly and helpful with anything we asked. I will definitely be back again and would recommend this place to others.
The pool wasn't able to be swam in for our stay (7 days) as it was unclean and they were filling it with chemicals everyday. Our room was nice enough but not very clean. The rocks surrounding the bath were on a layer of dirt (there was even a tiny plant growing out of it.) My baby spilled some food on the mat and we lifted it up to shake outside and dirt went everywhere. I don't think the floor had ever been swept under the mat. Staff were kind and fulfilled our requests. We had family staying next door and their air conditioning also leaked water everywhere.

2 Bije hotels - ensure you get the one you booked!
made a reservation into this hotel 3 months prior to arrival. However this was not the hotel we got. Apparently there are 2 hotels Bije hotels - this one and the Bije Sari Suite. We drove to this one - the one we booked into and they told us it was the wrong one and took us to the other one. When I questioned as to why we were not at the one we booked they just said that it was full and we were at the correct one. I even showed them my confirmation email and they still claimed we were at the right one. There were no TV's in the rooms at the Sari Suite so I showed them that TV was a listed amenity on the room of the one I booked - They had no answer other than 'well do you still want to stay' Looking at pictures I would have preferred the other one obviously since it was the one I booked!
The Bije Sari Suite was ok. Room was a good size and included breakfast was really good.
On the bad side the towels stunk like mildew - then entire bathroom had an unpleasant odor. And the air conditioner was pointed directly at the bed... so you either had cold air blowing directly on your face all nigh or turned it off and cooked!
But I suppose you get what you pay for - for around 45 dollars a night - it still was a good deal. Just make sure you get the actual hotel that you booked.... if you can! We tried and still had to stay in the one we didn't book.
