"We did not stay here! They would not check us in even though I showed them we had paid on Expedia. They wanted cash from us. They said Expedia doesn’t pay them and they wanted us to pay again. We didn’t because the place looked dirty and unfinished. We left. Now I’m trying to get my money back from Expedia. i got through on chat, Bupindher said someone from Expedia service would email me but they have not."

"The welcome at the Sihilro Regency is second to none. We felt almost like family. The home cooked food offered is really fantastic, exceeding the standard in most of the hotels we stayed in. Arriving over the new year weekend, we were slightly concerned that onward travel would be difficult but they helped us find a taxi at a very reasonable price. We also used their in house Safari and the driver / guide was brilliant. Highly recommended."

"basic guesthouse with 5 rooms and a communal room. bed was alright and came with clean bathroom. recommended to pay extra for the air con (which didn’t seem available as an option during booking) as it was really hot when we visited and the room was stuffy after awhile. "We had a fantastic stay at Lizard Safari Lodge. The rooms are clean and well kept, with a nice big bed, mosquito net and fan. Our room had a balcony which was great to sit out on in the late afternoon. Dinner was delicious on both nights of our stay (as was breakfast) with a good selection of food and very generous portion sizes! Nandu could not have been kinder, taking us on a tour of the village and to a local swimming spot on the afternoon of our arrival, and providing snacks and ice creams....

"I can’t recommend this place enough! Great communication with Eric all the way through, we came a bit late, and before we could order our meals over email and it was ready. Great WiFi! Evening watching fireflies in the dark. The food both breakfast and dinner was delicious. Eric also helped book our safari trip witch was terrific!"

"Outstanding property. Very quiet admist nature with river flowing nearby. Room was big and clean, jaccuzi was great and the food was delicious. But what stood out was the customer service of the people who work there. In all my travel I have never experienced such a customer service anywhere. Especially Asalanka and Dimender. They were soft spoken, clearly explained everything and was willing to help with anything. The people who work there is what makes the difference and is definitely a highlight of my Srilanka trip. Definitely Recommended 5 stars. "
