"It's an historic hotel, so you're not going to get the convenience of a Holiday Inn, but the building is beautiful inside and out. We loved the art deco motif. The room was big enough for a couple's getaway. Views of the city are unparalleled. Subway access and Grand Central station are close by. The restaurants on site are wonderful. We never missed having an in-room coffee maker, because the coffee from the diner on the first floor was so good. Even the bed was very comfortable. If you can deal with a tiny bathroom and wildly inconsistent water temperature, then the charms far outweigh any inconvenience."

"Customer service was poor. Staff seemed bothered to help guest. Market staff was rude. If you want to hold bags after check out there is a $4 fee cash, the staff demands cash even after telling them you don’t have any. Bathroom was dirty; hair in the bathtub, dusty surfaces and toilet was dirty."

Only real issue is they only had one key per room so if you have multiple people staying in a room, you’d have to have one of the staff let you in. Very large room if you get the suite And it’s great having a full kitchen if you’re staying for multiple days."

"No breakfast theres a pop up coffee corner and a little table to get a free coffee, not bad. But that closes when it’s all gone and nothing in the hotel till 4 or 5pm. Rooms were a joke is you were only staying for a night with a rucksack then okay but for 3 or more than you are screwed for space. 2 people in the bed then one of you has to literally climb over the other to get out. The worst part was the noise into the early morning and we were on the top floor."

"The hotel is located in a very convenient area, which was one of the main reasons we chose to stay there. However, there was a group of youngsters lingering just outside the hotel entrance almost all day and night. They were smoking and chatting loudly, which made us feel uncomfortable. Housekeeping was available daily, although there were no water bottles, toothbrushes, or toothpaste provided in the room, which we had already expected. The hotel lobby felt old and somewhat untidy. Additionally, the water dispenser in the lobby was broken for 3 out of the 6 days of our stay. The aircon was too old and too noisy. We also requested to store our luggage at the hotel for one night while we traveled to another town, but this was declined due to space constraints."
