"This is the best hotel that we have stayed at. The amenities, staff, rooms, the spa, the adult pool, the food, the beachā¦all 5 stars! Swam with manta rays and did the longest running luau that was well done. Have been coming here since the 80ās and it only keeps getting better. We love the Mauna Kea and the Big Island of Hawaii."

The location was perfect for our stay, all the activities that we had planned for the weekend was in Waimea or Waikoloa Village so it was so much easier then staying in Kailua town or Waikoloa. All the staff members that we dealt with were super friendly and helpful!! This place reminded me of going to the outer island in the 60's and 70's, super "chilled vibe" If you are looking for the "Aloha Spirit" and not the "Mega-Resort" this is the place to stay!!
