"We stayed as a group of 9 at the Grubbings in order to attend a friends Wedding at Silverholme Manor. We had a lovely stay. The accommodation was really comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking and eating/drinking as a big group. The service was fantastic and the staff were really quick to respond to our many queries/questions before and during stay!"

"A large house and gardens full of character and facilities. Our family of 9 loved it and never felt cramped in any way.More information provided than any other stay, both in respect of the house but also of walks and places to visit. Gardens are beautiful as is the location. Weather not good but still enjoyed sitting in the garden and admiring the views.Host was very welcoming and informative.Would recommend house and host to everyone"

"Beautiful accommodation surrounded by glorious landscapes. Our stay at Hazel Seat coincided with a cold snap in the weather which led to the most stunning of views of the surrounding landscape; snowy landscapes fit for a Christmas card; glorious whispers of sunrises; rolling mist erupting from Windermere. "Lovely house, lovely decor, had everything we needed plus more and plenty of space. Our son loved the piano and garden room and very short walk to the steam train, aquarium, lakes cruises and hotel ❤️"

"House was very spacious, view was incredible and we had off road parking. Unfortunately the house wasnt cleaned to a high standard, we were faced with dust, cobwebs and the last guests rubbish! The contact numbers left in the house were of two ladies who no longer look after the property! No wifi code! We also found bug faeces on a bed pillow. Hair and bugs in the bath!
