"Walked to the lake,pushed a couple of very nice kayaks in and paddled about two hours. Stacy got us outfitted in two new life jackets and on Saturday afternoon Keith came by and took us on a FREE boat ride all around the lake. Definitely going back again. Also,it was my birthday weekend and a Happy Birthday banner and balloons were in our cute little cabin when we arrived!"

"It was our 1 year anniversary and wanting to relax out of Dallas Metro area. It was quiet and the birds/squirrels were fun to watch. Owners of the outpost were helpful and a pleasure to visit with. When I messaged the property owners, they responded quick and were nice. However, the cabin we stayed in smelt a bit funky when we got there like mildew. The bathroom floor was gross sticky in front of the toilet and look around we felt we needed to give a good cleaning before we unpacked. Drove back to marshal for cleaning supplies and got busy and it was delightful. Leak in the fridge ruined the produce we brought but that didn’t stop us from having a relaxing trip. Near state park for a great hike. Will come back and stay in the area again. "

"The room was small but clean and had everything we needed. Enjoyed the easy lake access, where we were able to leave the boat in the water at their small dock. Just to note, in case you miss the fine print, this is a lodge where half of the rooms front the lake and the other half from the street. You’re still able to use all amenities and the owners were very accommodating and friendly!"

"The cabin was amazing, beautifully decorated and fully furnished kitchen was great. The only issues we had were that the yard and the dock were in need of cleaning. There was debris from high water and vines growing on the deck like Poison ivy but that didn't stop us from enjoying our stay"
