We enjoyed sitting on the screened porch with cheese and crackers and a cool refreshing adult beverage and watching the New River go by. Very convenient location to Sandstone Falls. We also drove to Oak Hill and Fayetteville and Grand View for hiking and visiting old abandoned coal mining towns in the New River Gorge National Park. "The home is lovely. The road to get to the home is a little survey and the road narrows, just an FYI. Only a few issues. With all of the fireplaces / pits, I assumed there would at least have been a starter package of fire wood. A reminder that there isn't would have been helpful due to the roads to get in and out of the location. Also the gas did not have propane, we had to run out and pay for the propane ourselves. "We were very pleased by the overall aesthetic of the property. Beautiful gate enters you into the pod area and a cool gateway to the kitchen and bathroom building. The area was well maintained and beautifully landscaped by large boulders. The GLO HAUS did not disappoint. The pods were decorated with fancy pillows and blankets. The AC was running preparing us for a comfy stay. The shared pod was very carefully decorated. It has dishes, cups, silverware, cooking equipment, and cleaning supplies....

"We stayed at the home while getting our son settled in as a freshman at Virginia Tech and also spent some time enjoying the area. It's an older building in a rustic setting, but the home has been updated and we found it to be clean and comfortable. The nearby creek is lovely. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again."

"The place was very small and cut up. It was dirty and had ants all in the kitchen. Every room was in some form dirty including showers and toilets. Dangerous stairs to get upstairs and down. Found slugs in basement where two bedrooms were located. Water dripped out of the ceiling onto kitchen counter. Dirty inside cabinets, drawers etc. no where near worth the amount per night. "We loved Four Fillies! The property was kept up very well and was so beautiful. I loved the sound of the creek. We travelled back and forth from Blacksburg which was a bit of a trek (45 minutes) but was a fairly easy drive. it was so worth it!"
