Experience Goldberry Woods! A Select Registry property featured in Midwest Living, Conde Nast Traveler, Washington Post, Chicago Magazine, Chicago/Metro Parent Magazine, and more. Come and stay in the heart of Harbor Country on 30 secluded acres of woods with organic farm, hiking trails, river and stream, and orchards less than one mile from the beaches of Lake Michigan! The property features a heated pool and hot tub (enclosed in Fall for Winter swimming, and shared with our other cottages and inn, but lots of room for everyone). We also have a new barn venue that overlooks the pool--great for groups/weddings/reunions or rent for your private pool house.

The newly appointed Deerpath Cottage at Goldberry Woods is a new listing for summer 2024 (normally Nana and Papa's cottage when they are on the property) and is located in a quiet and secluded location surrounded by nature and includes 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, large screened porch, a full kitchen, laundry room, and more! Please see our goldberrywoods site for more details. We try and update VRBO/HomeAway as much as we can, but our site is always up to date and most accurate. Thanks!

The Master Suite includes a Queen bed and master bath with a jacuzzi tub and large skylight. The second bedroom includes a Queen bed, and the third bedroom has a twin bed and a twin trundle. The family room features a wood-burning fireplace, leather sofas and recliner, and large TV with DVD player and Satellite. The kitchen is stocked with cookware and dishes and features full-sized appliances, a dinette that seats six, and a breakfast bar with additional seating. A gas grill, fire pit with free firewood, and high-speed WiFi is included.

Cottage stays also include full use of our kayaks and canoes that you can use to float peacefully along on the quiet and scenic Galien river that borders our estate. Guests may also borrow our bikes to ride to the beach or explore the local towns and back roads and are also welcome to pick and eat anything out of hand that is growing in the fields of our organic farm and orchard. Our large playground structure is close to the cottage and includes swings, climbing walls, monkey bars, a slide, and multiple level decks. There is also a large aviary featuring our chickens, ducks, and quail (for all of our farm-fresh eggs). We also have seasonal yard games to play including bags, badminton, bocce, and horseshoes. Breakfast at the inn can also potentially be added to your stay, if available ($25/person). Well-behaved dogs may stay too ($20/day per pet). We also have a Market Stand on property open May - Oct which features our organic produce, flower bouquets, artwork, Goldberry merchandise, and more!

Goldberry Woods can also add on private experiences for your stay, including yoga, marma massage, ayurvedic wellness, foraging tours, farm tours, cooking classes/dinners, and sandcastle building at the beach. Please inquire for pricing/availability.

Our 8-bedroom, 9 bath inn (sleeps 16-24) is also available on-property for your large group retreat/reunion/holiday rental--please call for details or visit our listing at Vrbo Listing #644633. Our Barn Venue is also available for rental for groups including yoga/wellness, corporate retreats, family reunions, or weddings and elopements.

Also, we feature two vintage Avion campers, located further back on the property at the edge of our woods and underneath our magnificent tall pine trees. Both have been updated for modern glamping and each sleeps 2. See our goldberrywoods site for info and availability.

Pricing is based on number of people/pets (base rate plus just $20/day per person/pet). Cleaning fee is $150 and cancellation fee is 10% ($250 minimum) for ANY cancellation. Trip Insurance is easy and inexpensive.
