"The Parlour: this is a clean, comfortable, very well equipped little place to stay. Do be aware that it is quite remote, reached up several very narrow country roads. We couldn't get any phone signal and the wi-fi doesn't work in or immediately outside the cottage. Kate gave us a warm welcome."

"Loved all the different levels and rooms. The stairs were a good work out. Close to everything and everywhere we wanted to go to. Had everything we needed. All home comforts. Shower works well. Shower cubicle very snug. Sofa very low. Just needs sofa boards to stop the sofa from sinking too much. Would definitely recommend and stay again"

"Our dog enjoyed being in a one-storey house for a change (instead of climbing stairs all the time). Location was excellent, communication with Karen was top-notch. The place was surprisingly spacious (we didn't find the utility-room until the last day) and the maltesers and wine were a nice touch. We had to put a few coasters etc out of harm's way (in case they got chewed); hopefully Karen has been able of find them all if we forgot to put some back."

"Waterhouse lovely clean & comfortable . Poor phone signal & no WI-FI a disadvantage . Despite prepaying by credit card got bill at checkout . Explained to receptionist who checked and confirmed prepayment . Was horrified to see next evening I was charged again for our stay . Immediately contacted hotel who suggested I ring next morning . Next morning I commenced the lengthy process of trying to get my money back ! Despite 5 phone calls I never got a call back as promised each time . Excuses...

"Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. "

It is a beautiful community and a terrific restaurant in walking distance, The property itself was lovely- and was a perfect get away. I would definitely book here again if I found myself going back to the Cotswolds! By far- this has been the best rental we have booked!"
