"Nice quirky old hotel. Has 3 floors but there are no elevators. Very steep stairs.The room did not have air conditioning (although other rooms apparently do) so thankfully it was cool enough outside to open the windows. They gave us a fan but we didn't use it. One window was missing the screen. The bathroom was passable but the door did not latch so it had to be held closed if we used the bathroom. Also no exhaust fan so taking a shower meant being in a fog afterward until the steam cleared out. The mirror was so high up I couldn't see the bottom half of my face. No tissues or the usual soap and shampoo. The bathtub did not have any grab bars. Only one small floor lamp in the corner of the room but there were no other outlets to plug it into so we didn't move it to get better light. No night stands. Did have a small table and two chairs. Also a small frig., microwave and coffee pot .There was a dresser with overhead light sockets but the light sockets had no bulbs or a switch to turn the lights on if there were bulbs so the room was pretty dark. Had to keep the bathroom door open and leave the light on to light the room. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. They gave us a key ring with two keys - one for the room and one for the front door of the hotel. Yup, you read that last sentence correctly. 😂 With all the silliness described above, we would stay there again now that we know the way things are there. "

"First of all, I want to start up by saying, our host is very accommodating and if you have any problems, they are dealt with right away! She’s a wonderful host. She also will answer any questions right away if you message.With that being said, this RV is very cute and very clean and neat. But it is not made for anyone that has any problems with mobility, as to get in and out of the RV the steps are a little high. Also, the bed is high, not sure if it’s really a queen size bed, if you are taller than 6 foot your head and your feet will touch the walls and if two people are sleeping in there the one person is next to the wall and has to crawl over the other person in order to get out of bed.The twin beds are made for children. They are cubbyholes and not really twin beds, so if you have small children, this would be great.The bathroom has no sink in it so you have to use the sink in the small kitchen that they have which is not really made for cooking but you could heat up things.We basically were there only there to sleep, and after 10 o’clock the neighborhood is very quiet. We did not use the pool, as we would get back after dark.The RV is in the driveway in the front of their house. But that caused no problems.I would recommend this for a young couple, with possibly two small children, And probably only to sleep, as there’s not much room in there to move around.With that being said, everything was good and if we had any problems, it was taken care of. "

"This review comes from a different perspective as we live locally, and stayed here for two weeks during home renovations. As other reviewers have noted, this is a basement apartment - the stairs are tricky and the shower door is narrow. We had to deal with some weather related issues, but the host, Al, was very responsive and helpful.Great location - convenient to restaurants, shopping and transit options (parkways/LIRR/bus) but in a quiet neighborhood. Good choice for an extended stay with a more comfortable homey feel than a hotel and all the amenities you'd need. Especially appreciated the washer/dryer and full kitchen!"
