Furu Hostel

"We had a nice and quiet stay during our visit, it was off season and really appreciated not having a huge crowd. Although we weren’t able to use any of the outdoor amenities, we can imagine how nice it must be to kayak along the lake behind the property and do bbq and relax by the sauna. The cabin is comfortable, cozy and warm. We wish it could be a little bit brighter in the kitchen area for cooking, but it’s not a deterrent. The walls and roof are quite thin, so bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. We also like that it’s close to a lot of hikes and attractions without it being overly touristy spot."

"We came in the off season (October)and it was a great value at that time. The staff were helpful and kind! We selected Garnbua and it had everything we needed for our stay. Parking was free. The only downside is the restaurant was closed for the off season."

"We stayed 3 nights in the 2 bedroom Stromoybua cabin at the lodge. A friendly staff at the lodge personally showed us inside of the cabin when we checked in. The cabin is roomy, modern and comfortable. It sits right along the water’s edge of the harbor with great view of the harbor. We were able to step straight out to the dock for a peaceful morning stroll. Breakfast was served in the lodge’s restaurant with great view of the water. The breakfast food selection was not as sumptuous as the other lodges that we stayed, missing our beloved Norwegian pancakes/waffles, but the service and quality of the food was good. We loved the Lofoten smoked salmon and brown cheese. There is also a locally produced fish liver oil available for tasting. The dinner was a highlight of the restaurant. We had the best tasting dinner at this restaurant for our whole trip in Lofoten. At around midnight on our last night at the lodge, we walked to the open area outside the main lodge building, it was very cold so we stayed in our car to keep warm. There were some light pollution from the lodge, but we was able see the aurora right from inside of our car. We highly recommend staying at this lodge."

"Beautiful spot, great history. Breakfast was wonderful. Dinners were great, both at Karoline’s and at the Pizza restaurant. Wonderful place to stay & see!"
Ure Lodge

"This hotel in Ure was the absolute perfect stop during my road trip through the Lofoten Islands. It felt like a true hidden gem tucked away from the busier spots, offering total peace and incredible surroundings. Everything about the property feels modern, sleek, and high-quality. The common areas were a huge plus—having access to full kitchen facilities allowed me to cook a cozy meal, and having laundry facilities available mid-trip was a lifesaver. The highlight had to be the morning host response: they brought a thoughtful, cute basket of breakfast right to my room, which was such a personal and welcoming touch. My only regret is that I didn't book more nights here. Highly recommend to anyone traveling through Lofoten!"

"Positive: the hotel was allocated in an old dock and our room faced the mountain and ocean which was very nice. Breakfast was quite good but not many hot food options. The bathroom was modern and has two shower points so it is a plus for couples! We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was quite good but pricey ( well nothing is not pricey in Norway!!) Negative: The bed was too soft and the bathroom sink was too shallow. The spout of the tap was too long and as a result it was very hard to wash your hands or use the sink without spillage. Our room was on the first floor and there is no lift."
