"When we booked we were not told of the fun fair that was to take place. Roads around the hotel were closed off and fairground rides were within 15ft of our bedroom window. The noise was horrendous even with the window shutters closed. This did not help on a hot night with no room aircon. The hotel reception were totally disorganised and i had to search for help to book in, likewise when booking out. All the parking spaces around the hotel were filled with fairground rides. "This was a one night stay for a short visit to the region for family reasons. There was nobody around on arrival. The restaurant was closed.There was a handwritten message stuck to the inside of the window explaining how to get to our room. The key was in the door. I needed to use the Wi-Fi during my stay but wasn’t informed what the password was and there was nobody around to ask. On leaving the restaurant was open and there was somebody there to take the key. Service was very poor, but I guess you get what you pay for."
