"Excellent hotel. Close to everything without being in the middle of it. Five minute walk over cute bridge to downtown. Many eating options around the hotel. Laundry service on site, which is great while traveling. The bed was comfortable and quiet."

"I adore Edwin and his family. They took very good care of this solo woman traveler. He feed me very well!! The atmosphere was very authentic to how the locals live in the jungle. It is rustic. Shower did not have hot water.. I did have the room with a.c. Very nice. I will for sure go here again."

"The cabin was pleasant, had basic necessities. I deducted two stars because there was absolutely NO COMMUNICATION from the host. The site said there would be no one present at check in and directions would be sent prior to arrival. I heard nothing, even after reaching out multiple times. I was concerned about arriving in early evening and not knowing how to get in. Turns out there was a lock with a key in it in the front door.
Also, not this host’s fault, but it was IMPOSSIBLE to get through...

"The staff are very helpful and friendly. It’s an older hotel but that is part of its charm. It’s located near the amazing farmer’s market and great restaurants. They were helpful with transportation as well! "
"The room was clean and the hotel itself was nice and enjoyable. We spent a lot of time by the pool and we stayed in a cabana which we really enjoyed.
A few things we didn’t love was that you couldn’t get room service, we ordered a pizza around 7-8pm and waited for it at the bar but It took an hour. We also weren’t told that the breakfast buffet runs from 7am-10am and after that we could order from their breakfast menu. We were not fond of the breakfast buffet and would’ve preferred ordering from the menu so I do think that you should advise your guests of the times.
The staff at the bar/restaurant work very hard and are very nice but they are understaffed and we would wait 30+ minutes for a drink, let alone food.
Probably would not stay here again but other than those things we did enjoy it. "
"Great surprise of a little place in the heart of San Ignacio the rooms are large, very clean and the staff is very helpful. Only wish the coffee shop opened before 8:00. A.m.! Highly recommend!"
"The cabins are nice and private, very clean, and very nicely decorated. The site is beautifully landscaped and gives you the feel that you are in the jungle. The family that runs this place is amazingly friendly and helpful. Make sure to have some of their cooking in the Hummingbird Kitchen!! "
"Beautiful treehouse room and the service and food were top notch. Jessie in particular was a credit to the hotel with her fantastic service. The wrangler was great on the horse ride. "
"Room was clean enough. The bathroom was weird- the toilet was wedged into an area next to the shower. Using it was almost an acrobatic experience. Front staff helped when asked. This is a budget hotel, and for the price its a pretty reasonable deal."
"Pros: pool, butterfly garden, decent restaurant.
Cons: room was basic with no dresser or space to put clothes. It was noisy overnight and we were kept up. No regulation for parties etc. the hot water kept going in and out. There was a lot of construction noise. One staff member was really helpful, the others not so much. If you care about sleep, this is not the place. "
