"We stayed at Hotel 1898 very recently and during the World Cup semi-finals. We were glad we chose to stay there. This is an immaculate property. The staff was friendly all the way from check-in to the spa front desk attendant, to the waiters and bartenders and cooks at La Isabela terrace, the hotel's rooftop restaurant/bar and pool space. "Excellent pool at rooftop especially for hot summer days in Barcelona! Convenient location off a block or so from LA ramblas and so easy to walk around to casa battlo and casa mila. Can hear a rental rumble of metro but we also stayed at Le Méridien and it had the same rumble. Can hear other doors close in hallway but it wasn't too noisy. My husband said breakfast was not the greatest quality but sufficient if u want something to fill u up"
