Located in the heart of the old market square at the west entrance of the medieval city, this XVIth century home will bring you back in time.The charm and quietness of the XVIIIth trickling fountain under the venerable plane tree, just across the house, will enchant your stay and soothe your nights after some long visits to the medieval or roman ruins or, perhaps...one of the many local vineyards!
The house was completely renovated in 2013 and early 2014.The owners used only noble materials in order to restore the historical character although, much attention has been given to the kitchen and baths where the visitors will experience all the confort of modernity.You will feel confortable inside where all all the volumes have been preserved or outside where there is no vis avis.Every windows open to the old market square and from the small terrace, you will admire the sunset on the medieval city, the ruins of the castle and the surrounding vineyards.
It is a four story house, including the renovated attic but the historical and medieval(sometimes roman) steps are extremely wide and easy.
On the ground floor, a spacious salon with a convertible sofa, an XIX century fire place,a library, 2 closets , Kylim Berber carpet and a half bath.
On the first floor, the visitors will enjoy a bright and luminous living room that can accommodate eight persons around the maple table.They will enjoy the other XIXth century fire place,TV,HI FI,CD player and WI FI connection.There is also another leather convertible sofa, two armchairs and another Berber Kylim carpet.
Across the living room, there is the separate fully equipped kitchen(including the dish washer, microwave and conventional oven,refrigerator-freezer) and all the gourmet tools.We did not forget the wine opener!
The two bedrooms are on the second floor.One with a queen size bed and the other with twin beds(joinable in a queen size).
At the same level, you will find the totally renovated and modern bathroom equipped with a walk in shower, two sinks,a toilet and a combo dryer/washing machine.
Finally, discover the third floor where the attic has been converted to a nice small cozy nest, equipped with a futon and some modern amenities.From there, you can access the sunny terrace and admire the medieval surrondings, the market square and the surrounding vineyards.
