"Married couple own the lodge. They are both very nice and helpful. They have four dogs. One dog bark's a lot. Bora Bora has lots of hungry stray homeless dogs. Perhaps they provided a home to some. Also, there are other houses next to the Lodge. People make noise. Need ear plugs. You need a car or scooter for transportation. "Le Bora Bora by Pearl Resorts is now our favorite beach resort of all time. We loved our Polynesian-decorated bungalow over the water with a mountain view and numerous reef fish, rays, and blacktip sharks swimming in the water below; the glass table/floor and windows that allowed us to watch the fish below our bungalow; and wide balcony with a table and chairs, lounge chairs, and our own personal ladder that went down into the chest-deep water in the beautiful lagoon. The service and food (especially the breakfast buffet) were excellent, their private beach and pool were uncrowded, my massage at the spa and the gym were high-quality and were located near a beautiful lake with purple flowers rising from lily pads, and we saw many different types of fish while snorkeling in the resort's coral garden. The resort sits on Motu Tevairoa and is only accessible to the main Bora Bora island by boat, but the resort provides free boat rides several times a day. The resort has some evening activities (e.g., an amazing traditional Polynesian cultural dancing show), kayaks, tennis, ping pong, a big chess board, an art gallery, and shops which sell clothes and souvenirs (but not snacks - if you want chips, etc. get those at the airport when you land, or at the grocery store on the main island). We highly recommend this amazing resort and hope to come back someday!"
