"The yard was great for my pup! The kitchen was well stocked.The only concern I had was that this town has very few street lights on the residential streets. You have to rely on the ambient lighting from the homes. And much to my surprise a lot of them did not have any. This of course has nothing to do with The Heard House, this property was well lit."

"We had an amazing time. The cottage was perfect for a quiet weekend get away. It is very close to main street and the shops and restaurants, there are several other attractions that are close by as well, and the scenery is fantastic. Our host is AMAZING...such a wonderful woman. I enjoyed meeting her and taking time to talk to her. We already love Murphy's, but this experience at such a cozy and comfortable spot had us planning our next adventure out there. Thank you, Ms. Denise for your hospitality and kindness. It was a very fun weekend!"

"Well maintained and clean"

"Towels were paper thin. Hallways aren’t vacuumed. Staff is scarce no one is ever at the front deck. Our shower had soap drips in it from previous stay. It wasn’t the worst motel I have stayed in but for the money it should have been more welcoming. "

"We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was conveniently located to downtown Murphy’s on a quiet cul de sac, with a nice fenced in back yard. The property owner was quick to respond to my inquiries prior to our stay. We would definitely stay here again! "
