"The Wingate is a good basic stay. It is clean, the rooms are well appointed and functional (I love that they have wooden floors rather than ratty carpet) and the price was very reasonable. I'd like to see better breakfast -- how peaches (it is Georgia) and other fresh fruit, not just a banana and fruit cocktail out of a can. Whole wheat bread and a wider choice of yogurt and cereal would also help. And, if breakfast is going to be served until 9:30, don't put the food away at 9:15!"

"The staff was friendly, checking in and out was a breeze. Good parking but the swamp area behind the motel was a biy of an eye sore. It was in walking distance of several restaurants. My biggest issue was the complimentary breakfast, we came down and all the waffle mix was out and no one bother to replace it, always a let down when we cant have the waffles. Overall it was not a bad stay for a night."

"My bathroom had lots of hair in it from a previous guess . When checking out my card was charged although I paid thru hotels.com . It took 3 days for them to correct it. The manager stated as a courtesy my stay would be free . That was nice because I didn’t even ask for that . However it seems he went back on his word as I have yet to receive credit and no one is responding . This is actually the only hotel I visits when in Valdosta . Honestly I may stay again since Valdosta doesn’t have much...
