"Cascade Wellness Resort was a major disappointment and nowhere near what I would consider a true high-end resort experience. The property feels outdated and overpriced. Once there, you are essentially trapped paying extremely high prices for brunch and dinner, yet the food quality and portions were surprisingly low-end and underwhelming. The service only added to the frustration. Staff were generally did little improve the experience perhaps since you are forced to pay the gratuity despite the actual service provided. Even basic expectations were missed — including the lack of accessible coffee options, which is hard to believe for a resort positioning itself as luxury. Overall, the value simply does not match the pricing or branding. There is no way this should be considered a luxury resort experience."

"There are not enough words to describe how much we LOVED this resort. We stayed in 4 hotels during our trip across Portugal & we all agreed this one was our favorite. The hotel is gorgeous & easy to locate. The front desk staff - especially Daniela - helped us with everything! The check in process was so easy & she walked us all the way to our apartment. The pool is humongous & they also had an indoor pool (which was my 4 year old’s favorite part of our trip) with sauna and Turkish bath attached. The kids playroom was bigger than our entire house with tons of activities for my kids - we spent hours here!! The pool area is open and inviting and Felipe and Paolo took great care of us. The wraps and fries by the pool were tasty. Breakfast was a massive spread. We couldn’t believe how many options they had everyday. The lobby smells amazing and is decorated beautifully There are multiple restaurants within walking distance - Palácio do china, piccolino pizza, and beaches you can walk to as well. The location is great. Our only regret is that we didn’t spend MORE time here. Next time we visit Portugal, my husband asked that we spend all 12 days at this resort again! My only request would be to add a jacuzzi! It would’ve made the stay here even better. "

"The room was beautiful and very comfortable. I will say that we wanted a room that faced the water and so the lights of the street were on all night making sleep a little challenging. They had a mask in the room but I don’t like that. I could get past this but might get the other view next time. The breakfast was phenomenal cook to order eggs, Capachino, the most fresh orange juice! The pasteries and croissants were so fresh and wonderful. I can’t say enough about breakfast. Location was ideal across from the marina where you can take a wonderful boat ride to see the caves. Lots of shopping, restaurants and friendly people but not overly busy at least in April when we were there. Staff were always kind and professional giving us wonderful referrals."
