Villa Katara

"Villa Katara is a beautiful 3-storey, modern villa in a very quiet, residential area. It is furnished to a very high standard. The second and third floors have air conditioning in the bedrooms and the open plan kitchen/living area. There is no air conditioning on the ground floor (third and fourth bedrooms and additional open plan kitchen/living area). There are large ceiling fans in all 3 rooms, but these were temperamental in the bedrooms, and we needed to keep the bedroom window or patio door open at night to keep the bedrooms cool. The villa is not suitable for people with mobility problems, due to the spiral staircase between the 2nd and 3rd floors and the steep staircase to the ground floor. The local area is extremely hilly with many steps or steep roads. The villa is situated on a very sharp bend. A car is recommended to get around.The outside space is stunning with a lovely pool, sun beds and a patio area, however, when wet, the patio gets extremely slippery. The pool is not fenced off, and is easily accessible to children. I would definitely recommend this villa, but would suggest it is best suited to groups of adults or families with older children."

Estás alejado del bullicio de la ciudad pero cerca de todo en la isla. David y Gloria y todo el staff te harán sentir como si estuvieras en tu casa. Y te irás con ganas de volver."

"The view is the best. I felt like I had my own personal space in the sea. Every morning sitting at the rock and witnessing the sun rise was the best experience. Imagine you have to drive to a location to witness the sunrise. Here you just walk down and climb to the edge and there you go, your own PERSONAL ORIVATE CORNER TO WITNESS SUNRISE"
Cosy house in small fishing village away of crowds

"The view from the balcony is what it is all about, absolutely wonderful. It was peaceful listening to the waves (although I did need ear plugs at night.) The tiny beach and steps area was busy at the weekend and over the Easter break but it was a nice sound to hear children playing and having fun, not at all disturbing us. The apartment was small but because it is open plan it seemed spacious. The kitchen is small but ok for one person at a time which worked well for me lol. The gas cooker was good and having a microwave really helped. They had a posh coffee machine which took pods not the filter coffee machine that was shown. The living space had a new sofa, different from the one in the photos, bigger with a couple of big cushions.A nice dinner table.The bedrooms were good, the single bedroom was adequate with a cupboard with extra bedding etc, a small chest of drawers and some hanging space. The double bedroom had hanging and a chest of drawers.All in all we had a fantastic stay and Monica and veronica were great hosts and always responded quickly, we had a couple of little issues that were resolved with no problems which gave us confidence to ask for help if needed.We would definitely stay here again. "

"We’ve stayed in this house for the second time already. The kitchen is very well equipped – there are all the pots, plates, cups, and spices you might need. There is also a washing machine, so you can quickly wash your clothes.The house itself is quite spacious – we stayed there as four people: two adults and two children. There is a kitchen, three bedrooms, and a living room, and it can comfortably accommodate up to six people.Outside, there is a beautiful garden with orange trees, as well as a swimming pool.The gate opens automatically, which is definitely a plus.The location suits us well – it’s not too high up, just perfect.The house is always well prepared for newly arriving guests."

"Host (Rafael) - 10/10 for communication and discreetness. Rafael lives in a dwelling under the main house. The only times we saw him were when he was cleaning the pool or we had questions. He speaks very good English.Accommodation - 10/10 for cleanliness. Private parking with security gates.Ground floor - Kitchen with all facilities, TV room with sofa and chairs (Spanish/German satellite TV programmes). There is a Firestick available for Netflix, Prime and YouTube (if you have a subscription). Excellent Wifi. Bathroom with a bath and shower. Large bedroom with two single beds and lots of wardrobe space. Small balcony (off the TV room) that is perfect for catching the sunrise.Upstairs - Open plan and very spacious with a double bed, bathroom with bath and shower. Seating area with sofa and chairs. Balcony that has fantastic views of the mountains and the sea.Outside area - 10/10. The gardens are tiered with 2 levels. Both levels are exclusively for guests. Fantastic sun trap. Mercadona, Aldi & Hipodino supermarkets are 10 minutes drive.Recommended - CICAR car hire at the airport. We will definitely return"
