"This hotel has the very best dinner i have ever eaten at a French, Italian, or German hotel. Michelin rated restaurant and a second restaurant, so two restaurants for quite a small hotel. Very conveniently located, super clean, very kind staff, very helpful. Convenient parking. Reason i mention restaurants is that they have same chef, and it was truly extraordinarily excellent. Truly magnificent dinner. Unbelievably good. Well worth taking chef recommendation, he has specialties. Truly happy with our stay."

"Just returned from a wonderful stay at Chez Mathilde near Verdun. Annie, our host, was absolutely lovely — so welcoming and friendly, and she even treated us to delicious homemade goodies. The house itself was amazing, full of character with beautiful traditional features and immaculate furnishings throughout. It really felt like a home away from home. The area is fantastic too, with so much history to explore, especially the WWI sites nearby. We’d highly recommend Chez Mathilde to anyone looking for a charming and memorable stay! "The only good thing about this hotel is that is conveniently located. We travelled as a family and booked two rooms late check-in went smoothly. We were shocked to find there were communal showers and toilets did not feel safe and the Rhoomes were smelly and quite dirty. The mattress was uncomfortable and the sheets did not feel particularly clean and were very itchy. One room has marks on the ceiling the other had graffiti on the walls and television screen."
