Very nice room. You can hear the traffic quite a bit, which is due to the cobblestone streets.
The terrace with the views of the city are priceless. The hotel is situated basically in the middle of everything that’s interesting.
The staff are wonderful. They do go out of their way to be helpful.
The staff took good care of us. This is at the top of a hill with good views a bit of a climb. The rooms and breakfast are basic but nice. Loved the terrace in the mornings and sunsets.
Excellent location. Breakfast at rooftop was wonderful. Staff was great.

Disliked: Amenities
The hotel is well located and super cute inside. We appreciated having several beds in the room so that my children would not have to share a bed.
It was incredibly disappointing that the terrace was closed for the entire evening (until midnight) from when we checked in. This is one of the main reasons that we booked the hotel and would not have booked it if that was made known to us.
The breakfast was ok. There was a nice coffee machine, yogurt, eggs made to order and fruit that was not replaced as it was eaten. You could also get ham, cheese and bread.
There was zero hot water in the shower and there was black mould in the shower in many places. The windows of the room were just above the street, so it was incredibly noisy with the window open and stifling hot with them closed.
This is a great place to stay for a couple of nights. The best part of it is a top floor restaurant with terrace and magnificent views of the city and the bay.
Friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant food was so fresh and delicious and there is ambiance. The owner is involved in day to day affairs in this boutique hotel so things run smoothly.
Our stay was very good and also a bit scary not due to the hotel but because of the fires raging around Valparaiso. However, we were in good hands and Sophia helped us tremendously getting in touch with our guide and making sure all was well.
Great location in Valparaiso. It’s an old house with high ceilings. The room we stayed was a bit small. That was no napkin, shampoo or conditioner. But the this.staff were very polite and helpful. We had breakfast at the Terrance, and the view was great!
We loved this boutique hotel so much that we extended our stay a couple of days rather than return to Santiago. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and felt very calm after being outside in the (wonderful) chaos of Valparaiso. They have preserved the character of the old building very well and we loved the marvelous high ceilings. We really enjoyed breakfast on the terraza with incredible views of the harbor and surrounding hills. The location was excellent for walking all over Cerro Allegre and Cerro Concepcion. There were plenty of excellent restaurants nearby and when we didn’t feel like going out -the restaurant and bar on the hotel’s terraza opened on the weekend evenings. The staff were very helpful and friendly!
The staff at this hotel (like all staff we met in Chile) was stellar - helpful and friendly, super eager to solve any issue that came up or help us figure out how to get where we needed to go. The location is great and the hotel itself is cute. Our biggest complaint was the lack of ANY mechanism in the room to hang clothes. There were no hooks, no closet, nothing - we ended up fashioning a makeshift system to hang things so our stuff wasn't in a pile on the floor (there weren't even suitcase stands!) There was one small dresser, but when you are traveling you generally want to air things out and de-wrinkle, so it wasn't helpful. Otherwise, it was a great stay. We loved the outdoor seats upstairs where we had our morning coffee - great views of the city!

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
We were shocked by the lack of accessibility for mobility limited patrons. Did not stay. Could not safely get to the 3rd floor room or be assured of safe emergency exit. Kind staff person, but very disappointing. Expedia app should be clearer.
I can’t thank the staff (Italo and Nathalie) enough for making our stay wonderful. They helped us through the difficulties with the credit cards for the payment. ( see note below). The hotel is a jewel.. and well converted house, full of character. If you want spacious chain hotel … go to the Ibis, but if you want to experience a boutique hotel full of charm, with a wonderful roof top breakfast area with a view of the city, then this is for you. The location is ideal for exploring Valparaiso if you don’t mind the hills. We loved our stay in this city. Note of warning to French travellers: There is a general problem in Chile with Visa cards issued by French banks. When paying by credit card in hotels or for the guarantee deposit for a hire car… the cards do not work. The hire car company told us … it is always a problem with French cards. You have been warned.
I had a great stay for three nights at BO hotel Valparaiso. The hotel is in a very good position surrounded in picturesque streets packed with shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. I walked everywhere from the hotel including the bus station. BO hotel is a big old house that has been transformed into a hotel recently. It is sparkling clean but retains some character from the old building. The staff are excellent. They are relaxed, helpful and friendly. They also speak english which can be very helpful. A good breakfast is served on the top floor with great views over the city and harbour. For a couple of days a week the breakfast space opens as a restaurant and bar in the evenings. There is a simple but tasty menu. I was on my own but I had a good sized room. The shower and toilet were quite small but totally user friendly and hot water was constant. Because it is an old building there is a little noise between rooms and from the road. This did not bother me at all. The road is not busy and I slept well. While I was there, there was a real family atmosphere, which was nice, and they even allow small pets to stay. This must be a real plus for some families visiting Valparaiso.
