We got a room overlooking the river and garden. The room was very nice and updated. It came with a refrigerator and microwave, which is always handy to have. Easy access to the room from the parking lot.
The view was beautiful.
You can ask for a non-pets room if you are severely allergic. We didn't know this, and we both have some allergies, but the room was clean and we didn't notice it at all (assuming pets had been in the room).

Fun old hotel right downtown and easy walking to to shopping and dinning. Since it’s old, there are a good number of outside noises (cars, people, ghosts, etc..) bring ear plugs.

The check-in process was quick and the staff was very friendly and professional. Our room was clean and the temperature in the room was right where we wanted it to be. The breakfast far exceeded our expectations and was amazing. The staff member that was in charge of the breakfast was friendly and he offered to make us things that they were out of even though it was close to the end of breakfast. He also apologized for things taking a bit to be refilled/restocked as he was the only one working...

I normally stay at the Hood River Inn down by the river, when I am in town, but it was full, along with other places I have stayed at before.. Expedia recommended this one, it only had 3 units left when I booked. I did not know what to expect when I arrived, but I was very happy with what I found when I arrived.
