"Was a nice place to stay for location but was disappointed on the cleanliness."

"The woman at the front desk was distracted by her phone and delayed the check in process. We were sent to a room on the 3rd floor where there was an empty mount where the tv should be. We returned to the desk to ask for another and were given a room on the second floor. Upon turning on the AC, the room immediately smelled of urine. Went back to the desk, mind you this all happened within 20 minutes to check out and get a refund. Another couple was doing the Same. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE."

"I have stayed in this hotel several times. The location is convenient and the rooms are large and clean. However, what keeps us coming back is the staff. They are welcoming, friendly, and always happy to help, when needed, or answer a question. They make this good hotel truly great!! "

"So, I’ve never stayed at a hotel or motel where I wasn’t asked how my stay was, or was everything ok when I checked out. Ever, even Motel 6 and Holiday Inn asks how was my stay. After I wasn’t asked and the woman who checked out us seemed to barely look up from her computer screen, I mentioned that she didn’t ask how are stay was. She then seemed to go thru the motions to ask, when I told her about a problem we had, namely, running out of toilet paper and Kleenex. That morning, before we checked out, we had no extra roll of toilet paper when we needed toilet paper. The Kleenex box maybe had four sheets left. I called the front desk at the time this happened, and we were delivered another roll of toilet paper some 40 minutes later after I made the call. That’s not right. The woman at the desk when I told her this, barely acknowledged the situation, barely looked at us, and off handedly commented she would let housekeeping know. No apologies. This did not sit well with us, didn’t leave a good taste in our mouths about the experience, and was unsettling and disappointing. The way the whole deal went down was not at all commensurate with what one might expect from a hotel like the Intercontinental, let alone really any place of lodging. I wish I would have asked to speak with a supervisor, but we were in a hurry, as we were in town to visit a very sick relative. Not good!!!!"

"The free breakfast was excellent multiple options to choose from. The room was very clean, the air conditioning will freeze you out and the staff were excellent they were on top of everything you asked for something there was no waiting for it they got it right away"

"Room was okay. Door to patio stuck slightly open. Bathroom did not have any place to hang towels, except one short rod for a hand towel. Check-in was fast and easy. Gentleman who helped us was efficient and friends. During our two night stay, DeeDee worked the front desk over the weekend. She greeted guests as they entered, asking about their breakfast or their day. Truly a GREAT representative of the hotel. We easily walked to Royals games just across the street. Great location."

"The air in the lobby and hallways was stale and smelled like cigarettes and marijuana, the carpeting in the lobby and hallways were stained, dirty and better complete replacement. It's looks and smells rundown. The room's condition was a pleasant surprise! Clean and very large! The front desk gentleman was not a welcoming person at all. Evren though we paid for the room through Expedia in advance, he demanded an additional $125 security deposit on our credit card before he would give us the room key. Why? "

"1. The value was terrible (cost vs worth) 2. The quality of the hotel was poor and many things in the room did not meet basic standards like the shower door on able to close for several inches 3. The area did not feel safe 4. Noise isolation was very poor ... could easy hear conversations outside the room, outside the hotel, next room over , etc 5. I'd never stay there again even for $50 6. Just felt like an old construction with a few makeovers. "
