If your main reason for going to the area is to do activities in vang vieng I would stay in the city itself as it is quite a long taxi drive (about 40 mins) but if you want a relax and occasional activity in Vang Vieng then this is perfect. "Two sides to this hotel. One side, a nice hotel with good size rooms, clean, decent swimming pool, friendly staff (for Laos), located generally away from the noisy town centre and lovely views of limestone karsts. Kop Jai who worked at the hotel was very helpful to try and resolve where possible the issues we had. Other side and points to be aware of. After complaining, I was sent to their sister hotel, The Silver Naga, which was very nice. It is a shame hotels do things like this and not advise people."
