Excellent property . Complete value for money. Food was excellent, rooms were clean. Can’t expect more during a major event like Maha Kumb Mela happening in Pryagraj which is just 2 -2-1/2 hours by road from this place. We stayed for two nights and we loved this place.

Everything was excellent. They welcomes us with a typical neckless, which war really nice. Varanasi is a very busy city, but when we came into the hotel, we could relax. The only thing which was not so nice is that there was no window in the room.

Absolutely excellent experience here. We arrived 2 hours late, at 0330, and they were welcoming, and even upgraded us to a suite for the limited time we were there (we checked out that morning!). Breakfast was lovely, staff were excellent, and location is very handy for the station, and autos are easy to come by to get down to the Ganges. Highly rate this hotel! Extremely comfortable beds and extremely clean. Love it. Thank you Arcadia staff.

The hotel staff were very helpful with anything we asked and we were very thankful they allowed an early check in. Cons for our stay was that the area around the hotel was fairly restricted and dirty, not walkable to shops or other amenities. The hotel itself is a little dated, dusty and the mosquitos were horrendous but I think that is mostly due the area itself. The food was good, though menu limited. Overall ok experience

It's the first time that I've stayed at a 4 star hotel by choice in India. I generally just enjoy 5 star hospitality in India but didn't have much available in Varanasi and Ayodhya (will review that too). Arpita at the front desk is great! She's very professional and very pleasant and I saw her handling all kinds of queries and customers like a pro. Keshavnath (hope I got the name right) in the housekeeping was excellent. The room and bath were super clean. The room was quite spacious and I liked the separate seating and sleeping areas. Though I didn't eat at the hotel, the dining always called to ask about breakfast & dinner as that was included in my booking and I appreciated their due diligence. The so called travel desk was a joke though! Completely useless in answering basic info. Will certainly consider this place again for a stay if visiting India/Varanasi again.

The hotel is very nice for the area. Food was excellent. The area around the hotel is not walkable and there are lots of mosquitoes, so be sure to bring insect repellent.

The only downside to the shower room is that it only has a half-partition, so water tends to spill onto the floor. Other than that, it was good luck. They even gave me a Bodhi tree necklace, and the hotel bellboy was very attentive and helpful. The best thing about the hotel is that it's close to Varanasi Junction Station.

Not a great place to stay

The hotel was bang opposite a Dusshera pandal. Loud music was blaring practically through the night. In addition, the walls are porous. We were in room 504 and the loud talking from 503 was audible. It caused discomfort. We stayed for 4 days. The rooms are only cleaned if there is a specific request. Not otherwise. They don't give tea powder, water and other small emergency supplies if you don't call and request for the same. That is disappointing. The customer service is lax and even small requests like a little salt or Aro water was not delivered despite repeated requests. We had taken multiple rooms and have cleared all rooms except one. We got delayed in the temple by a few hours and requested for a few hours delay in checking out. The front desk was extremely uncooperative and charged us full tariff for a few hours delay. I have stayed in 21 countries, and this was the first time I paid such high tariff. The management is extremely customer insensitive. The management and staff have to understand that they are working in a service industry

Les bons côtés sont que les chambres sont grandes et belles et que le personnel est très poli et serviable. Le problème est que dans une 1ère chambre visitée il y avait une odeur très forte de rafraichisseur d'air. Nous avons été placée dans une autre chambre mais celle-ci était inconfortable à cause du taux d'humidité. De plus, les serviettes et les draps étaient humides et ne sentaient pas bons. Nous avons été déplacés dans une plus grande chambre pour la dernière nuit et c'était finalement mieux.
