The Lugano Dante hotel is a great hotel, the location can't be beaten, steps from the funicular and right by the city center, we walked everywhere. This hotel is very generous in terms of taking of customers, free drinks in room mini bar, coffee, espresso, apples, waters in the lobby, make one feel so much like home. Grand Hotel des Lles Borromees is a wonderfully elegant hotel set lakeside with beautiful grounds and gardens. My wife and I extended our stay from 3 to 5 nights - expensive, but well worth it. We stayed for 3 nights at CastaDiva in September 2015. We have been to Lake Como a few times prior this visit but the hotel and facilities were remarkable. Seriously the pictures on the website do not do show you enough. my husband and I were actually shocked at how horrible their marketing ability is on the website when stepping foot on site. The hotel and the setting are spectacular. Very lavish breakfast offered with the room. Cannot be beat.

I loved the views and that we had access to amazing grocery store (similar to Whole Foods) with a 15 minute walk (it’s moderate intensity to walk as some of it is uphill.) loved the huge rooms , even with the kitchen and all the amenities of an apartment and of course the balcony!

We stayed at this hotel twice - it was a stopping point for us on a Zurich to Tuscany vacation and back. The hotel is clean, modern and the staff is friendly. If you have children, they provide rollaway beds that are comfortable but expect them to crowd the room, because the rooms although well appointed, are small. The young woman at the reservation desk who greeted us was lovely and helpful. Her suggestions for the day and where to have lunch in Arona were most enjoyable. In the evening, a gentleman at the desk directed us to a restaurant nearer the hotel for dinner, not near the lake. Our fault for not being specific. All in all, a good choice for a close location to the airport.

This place was great! The owners are very friendly and know how to take care of guests. I would recommend this place to anyone and I would stay here again on another visit.

This was my second stay at this hotel within 2 months. I like the location in the middle of a (working class) residential area. It's like living with the locals, away from the commercial areas. Over the weekends I experienced some noise coming from a banquet building were parties were held but nothing loud, nothing violent, just people having fun.
