And the mattress is a wonder of comfort. I almost don’t want to write a review because this secret gem will be so popular when word gets out! Nevertheless, count yourself lucky if you have the opportunity to stay here."

"We enjoyed our stay very much. Very good communication with the host. The cottage is charming and very clean, with water views from every angle. Lovely and peaceful. The kitchen was stocked with delicious breakfast items. There was a suggested breakfast menu and ingredients for us to make that happen. Great idea. If you are a coffee lover, this is your place. Fresh beans from Storyville Roasters and every possible way to brew. We didn't try the hot tub. It was a chilly week, so we weren't outside much, but we hope to return for another stay in warmer weather. Great location. We love Burien. Thanks for making us feel at home Penny!"

"We absolutely loved this house! The views are amazing! Beds are super comfy! We really had a good chance to relax and be together as a family during spring break. It was fun to see the difference between low and high tide. Tons of shells to investigate. We would have stayed longer if we could have. My 7 year old was crying as we left on the ferry and is already planning our return trip. ;) The listing is described very accurately. It is an older home but is updated throughout. Kitchen is very modern with everything we needed to prepare meals. Drawers and cupboards were even labeled so you could find things easily. Communication with the host was excellent! Don't hesitate to stay here!"

"Driftwood Island Retreat has one of the most beautiful locations imaginable. The house itself is lovely. It is wonderfully and comfortably furnished and supplied with fabulous comfy blankets and pillows. The kitchen has every item we could possibly use and much more. "

"We loved our stay. The kitchen had everything and more of what we needed. The deck is amazing. We were amazed at all the wildlife we saw. Seals, otters, harbor porpoises, and we had orca for 2 days. Also a nesting pair of bald eagles. Cannot recommend this more. We will definitely stay here again. "
