The Taj in Wayanad is probably the best resort we’ve stayed at in Kerala. It’s a great location on the Banasura Lake, and serves as a good home base for other locations in the district, including waterfalls and wildlife reserves. Great getaway for a few days immersed in nature, stunning hikes and views and wonderful staff and cuisine. Accent on on-site activities is justifiable; surrounding attractions outside the property, while famous, are incredibly crowded and congested and better to enjoy the excellent ambiance, service and cuisine and superb cabin rooms drenched with birdsongs!

My whole experience was absolutely amazing. Rooms were all the time in good condition. Staff was very attentive and courteous. Food was very hygienic , tasty as well as fresh. So much variety in food. They come to your table and make sure you are pleased with food if we need anything. Lots of activity to do in nature. Very informative. Staff was knowledgeable about Rainforest . Its children friendly .I highly recommend this place for families. Hope to visit again. 🙂

The rooms are fantastic and a minor gripe is that the pools were not heated. The morning breakfast and dinner were chaotic. There is no coordination and the restaurant staff was overwhelmed. We pay the high room costs for the most relaxing experience but chaos at morning and dinner leaves much to be desired. The spa is good and in-room dining service is good.
