An inaccurate listing. It’s said to be ‘accessible’ but there are steps into virtually every room. The main stairs have one very wobbly rail and another which ends partway down. I’m not disabled and found them difficult. There are more steps with no handrail in some of the bedrooms. It’s not a toddler friendly house. The Pool is not fenced off. Hardly any doors! There was no gym as stated, which was disappointing. The ‘photo studio’ was fenced off. We asked before booking and were told there are 4 toilets. There are 3. Not enough loos, showers etc for a large family. The whole house needs fixing. The bathroom door won’t stay shut. Sink and shower drains are slow. Kitchen tap leaks. The garden furniture is old and rickety. One of big umbrellas is broken. The sound on the projector wouldn’t work at all (despite two in our group being IT experts). No alternative TV.It was very hot and we felt that fans should be provided. 30 at night upstairs! It’s a huge rambling old house. It could be really lovely and perhaps was 20 years ago but it needs some renovation and TLC. On the plus side, we enjoyed the pool and garden and especially being together which was the main thing. They provided lots of nice toys. The local area is pretty. We would have liked more info about where to go. Also about the park n ride. Sadly, we would not recommend this house to other families as it is at the moment. We felt it was overpriced and disappointing despite its character and attractive exterior.
