"I texted when we landed at the airport and was told to go to a restaurant. There they told me our apartment had issues and we would be in hotel rooms. We needed the washing machine and kitchen though. We were never notified of this change until we actually arrived to check in. The rooms were nice so no complaints to with then but we would have preferred to stay in the place we rented. My daughter has many food allergies so I bring her food to prepare and was not able to prepare that food."

Art Boutique Hotel Berat

10/10 Excellent

"Great stay, beautiful hotel and staff were very attentive"

Te Gjyshi (at Grandfather)

10/10 Excellent

"The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The room had an amazing view and a large balcony. I could sit and watch the sun set. Breakfast was a fresh traditional plated Albanian breakfast with coffee, juice and water included. There was a restaurant at the hotel and taxis nearby which was very convenient. Walking into town was a steep walk down a hill and then back up to get to the hotel, so I’d recommend bringing good walking shoes. I travelled in late September/early October, considered off season but there were still quite a few fellow tourists without the huge crowds which I enjoyed. The room was large and clean, included a kettle and tea. I would definitely recommend and stay here again on my next visit"

Master Hotel Berat

10/10 Excellent

"Great location and wonderful boutique hotel. Small but perfect room, with balcony. However, if you are of a larger size, be aware that it will be a squeeze getting in and out of the shower room / WC. The owner and his brother are fantastic and cannot do enough to make sure you have the best stay possible. Breakfast was fairly standard for Albania but served fresh to your table on the main balcony with fresh juice and decent coffee. The only negative was the noisey fridge, which is amplified by the fact the room is so quiet. If travelling by car, please be aware that there is very limited parking. Make sure you have your mobile roaming enabled and check your messages: If you have told them that you need parking, keep in touch before arrival and they will sort it for you. Alternatively, they will park your car elsewhere for you once you have unloaded your luggage. Also, if you use Google Maps to navigate to the hotel, be aware that it might take you in to town via the castle. Do NOT go this way as the road down from the castle has been made one-way and you can no longer (legally and safely) drive down to the town from here. Follow the road signs into Berat and then set the satnav to find the hotel, which is opposite Pasha's Gate."

Hotel Berati

8/10 Good

"Very nice room and lovely lady at desk . Check in in my booking say 13:00 and when arrive at the time for it they said check in is 14:00-14:30 she said that is incorrect and contact Expedia for fix this on future. Lovely place nice room and bathroom clean and walking distance to everything. You can leave luggage if you need."

Old Town Guesthouse Guri

10/10 Excellent

"If I could leave an 11 star review I would. Berat is an Albanian gem and this property and its warm and friendly owner are perfect. Our room was absolutely stunning and well presented. We had a nice chat with the owner over a glass of home made Raki and wish we could have stayed longer. Wonderful stay"
