Two surprises that caught us off guard…first, though there were two bathrooms advertised, but there was only one shower for four people. Second and more significant, there was no heat in the unit until mid October. The weather was in the upper 40s/low 50s at night, so the house was downright cold most of the time. It’s truly as beautiful as the photos. And what a cool trap door (you’ll have to go and stay to see what I mean ;-). Had a wonderful bathroom, nice bar setup and great open space with panoramic views. You won’t be disappointed "

"Wonderful apartment, very cute and quiet village. Very clean, comfortable, safe. Communication excellent. I recommend you have a rental car. I didn't and it is a 15-min/ 1km hike up from the very reliable and inexpensive ferry and train. It took me (not young and used to the US suburbs) a day to get acclimatized to this - it is an alpine village. The town of Lierna and this apartment are perfectly suited to day hikers. "

"We spent 3 nights in a really large nice apartment suite with a balcony. We were next to the pool but it was quiet with a nice view of the lake and Monte Bre. The hotel overall is a bit tired and in need of fresh paint, but the grounds were very clean. We loved the pool for a cool break from the heat and crowds of Lugano. Its a trek to find restaurants, even with the bus stop. We found good dinners 12-15 minutes uphill or downhill and skipped dinner the last night. The staff were very friendly and attentive."
