The view of the village of Vélez Blanco from the castle. Beautiful Velez Blanco Castillo. The marble interior patio (1510) was sold by an owner in the 1940's & is on display in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. There are plans to build a replica of the patio starting this year, but it is well worth the visit now to the skeleton of the castle (which is free admission). There are breathtaking views over the countryside and the white village of Velez Blanco which is also worth a visit if not only for a coffee/beer & tapas. #velezblanco #andalucia #spain# castles #castillo #espana

Velez Blanco is a beautiful small village with a medieval cattle above it. Los Arcos is a lovely, charming place with gorgeous doors, furniture and atmosphere. We would have loved to stay longer
