"It’s a historic hotel. The location is perfect. Right on the promenade. Just a short walk to old town. And just a few blocks away from many restaurants. The stuff was very helpful. Everyone at the front seat was respectful and willing to answer any questions and address any issues. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the stuff at the restaurant was really good. The rooms were spacious. However, they are in need of some serious improvements. The furniture needs to be upgraded too. Way too old and falling apart. You can still retain your historic look. Just upgrade the rooms."

"Enjoyed the spacious room, with comfortable beds and good AC. The roof top and patio pool are nice, and plenty of seating when available. Excellent views if you face the water. Plenty of dining options nearby and transit is accessible if you prefer quick access to the old city rather than walking. The hotel staff were helpful and pleasant. For those with a car there is some parking. The negative - I found that lounge chairs and towels weren’t cleaned promptly throughout the day, with many chairs having used towels lingering and no guests using them. It would make for a Better experience if they had a proper pool attendant, rather than what appeared to be house keeping grabbing stacks of towels here and there. Elements of my room, though comfortable, were starting to show age. Overall good stay."

"Loved staying at the Fairmont! I had a hairpin city view room with two large double beds to celebrate a birthday with a friend and they provided the highest level floor room and a complimentary cake. Superb staff and housekeeping that went above and beyond to accommodate any needs. Central location- 4 minute walk from the casino and also sea front. Beach was also a close walk and great amenities like steam and sauna. Would love to stay here again!"

"Great location. 1 minute walk to the beach promenade and the hotel is located on a quiet street filled with various eateries, a patisserie, souvenir shops and a 4 minute walk to the opera house. The breakfast is very good. The only complaint I have is that there is only a kettle with instant coffee in the rooms. A great improvement would be a nespresso type of machine."
