Apartment in Venice historic center

Located in the Santa Croce district, a part of Venice where you can still breathe the authentic air of the city, the apartment is EASILY REACHABLE in a few minutes on foot from the BUS TERMINAL Piazzale Roma and is 350 METERS from the Santa Lucia TRAIN STATION. It is also close to the Riva de Biasio vaporetto stop.

Cà DEI TERRAZZI, located on the third and top floor, has an ELEVATOR.
Thanks to the two terraces overlooking one of the most suggestive canals in Venice, it is very bright.
The two terraces, equipped with awnings, have tables, benches and chairs with cushions to relax while admiring the view and the passage of the gondolas along the canal below.
It has a lounge with comfortable sofa, LED TV, FREE WIFI, dining table for six people. The living room leads to the two terraces on the facade.
Respectively to the right and left of the living room there are the two double bedrooms, equipped with large built-in wardrobes and both with windows overlooking one of the two terraces.
Both bedrooms have AIR CONDITIONING.

Both bedrooms have their own bathroom: the first has a toilet, double sink, bathtub, bidet and hairdryer, the second has a toilet, sink, comfortable shower and hairdryer.
The kitchen, with fridge and oven, is equipped with all necessary utensils.
Located in a quiet area and well served by bars, cafes, supermarkets (two are just a few steps away) and a famous pastry shop, they are a perfect starting point to reach many famous monuments in a short time.
The Rialto Bridge and its well-known fish and fruit-vegetable market are only a 10-minute walk away, while San Marco Square is a 20-minute walk along the typical Venetian streets.
Otherwise, to go to San Marco, always with a few minutes on foot you reach San Tomà, where you can take either the vaporetto or the Gondola which ferries you from the other side of the Grand Canal.
Nearby there are numerous museums: the MODERN ART GALLERY of CA 'PESARO, the PRADA FOUNDATION at Ca' Corner della Regina, the GRAND SCHOOL of SAN ROCCO (decorated in the 16th century by Tintoretto and Tiziano) and the CHURCH of the FRARI , the main example of Venetian Gothic architecture.

Upon your arrival, I will come to pick you up at the agreed place, depending on whether you arrive at the airport or train station. Further instructions will be provided to you before arrival.

Exceptional Venice find and fantastic stay. We spent almost a week here and can attest to it being quiet, clean, convenient, safe, and charming!It exceeded expectations and was perfect for our family of four.Location is ideal: 5-7 min walk from main train station, near Grand Canal for water buses/taxis, and a 20-min stroll to St. Mark’s. It’s away from chaotic tourist areas but lively enough with people around at night. Grocery store two doors down for all essentials.The apartment was a spotless and peaceful retreat. Beds were comfy with fresh sheets; beds bigger than described (US king & queen). Photos do NOT do it justice; this space is inviting and more than advertised. Balcony views are amazing. Top (4th) floor offers amazing views over the water. The building has an elevator which made luggage easy, no stair hassle. Walk from station is simple (one main bridge, one small); roller bags worked fine between those, or use the local luggage porters if needed. From the bus stop it’s a bit further but easier bridges with 2 larger luggage ramps. Tip: Check out Pasticceria Rio Marin cafe and bakery across the water (visible from windows) – best fresh pastries and espresso we found!Fantastic find blending convenience and charm. We’d rebook without hesitation. This will remain our top Venice choice and should be on your list as well.

What an amazing spot! Host was so kind and helpful. We had a wonderful time. The apartment was quiet, clean, comfortable and an amazing view of the canal. We felt very safe in the area. Building is very secure. We hope to return!

This was absolutely fantastic, very large and spacious apartment that was in a perfect location for us to explore wonderful Venice for our fourth time.The two balconies overlooking the Canal was the perfect spot for us to relax after long walks There is a grocery a few step away. Lovely Pasticceria right below .We would highly recommend staying there.

Fabulous location just a short walk from both railway and vaporetto stations. Large balconies overlooking a canal. There’s a nice cafe and bakery right across from the apartment where we had our morning espresso/cappuccino and pastries. The review questionnaire asked us to rate the winery experience; either this was a mistake, or we were simply never told this was a part of booking. Color us confused. Anyway, wonderful place and location; we would definitely stay here again.

The apartment set up was great for 2 couples. Each had their own space with bathroom and living area in between. There is a great view from the balcony and a coffee shop directly across the canal. It was on a quiet street but a very short walk from grand canal and many restaurants. The area felt very safe to walk at night. There was construction happening on the first floor with some dust and early morning noise during the week but weekend was quiet. We had a minor issue with plumbing related to that which the owner solved promptly. Overall, great spot.

We did not stay

We were unable to use due to unacceptable and unlivable conditions at the property.We booked the property for a 3-night stay, but upon arrival, we immediately found the home in very poor condition:   •   The sheets were stained, and the entire property had a strong, unpleasant smell.   •   The entrance was a mess, with ongoing construction and piles of trash scattered around.   •   Only one room had air conditioning, which barely worked. The second bedroom had no AC at all, only a fan set up to draw air from the hallway, which was ineffective in the summer heat.After seeing the condition of the property, we spoke with the person showing us the house — who agreed with us that the condition was unacceptable. We also spoke with the owner, and we left the property immediately as it was clearly not in a state suitable for guests.As a result, we had no choice but to book a hotel at our own expense, incurring additional and unexpected costs.We have reached out Vrbo and submitted pictures per their request. As of this writing, I have not heard from Vrbo.

Great Location

A great location!! We enjoyed the space. The windows and views were great. However, it was so hot - mosquitos were really bad - a/c's only in the bedrooms. Having the windows open during the day was helpful because of a nice breeze. However, the windows would slam - I was worried they would break - I figured out how to secure some of the front ones. But, mosquitos were terrible - we left with many bites. I am sure given the time of year they were worse than usual. In the cooler months this would be perfect.

Fabulous Property!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property!! It made a perfect home-base for our five day exploration of Venice. We loved the spacious apartment and all the amenities. The balcony absolutely was our most favorite part and we spent every morning and evening out on it enjoying the view and watching life go by in this residential area. Having the grocery store just steps away was fantastic!! We highly recommend this property! Thanks to our wonderful hostess, Federika.

Beautiful view of side canal with a balcony!

This apartment was absolutely beautiful. It has a balcony on one of the side canals and the view is breathtaking. The apartment was very clean. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms plus a kitchen. The owner was extremely helpful. The only thing I could say was missing is a microwave. Definitely one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed and we will definitely be returning!!!

Appartement magnifique

Appartement de prestige, en bordure d’un canal. Emplacement tranquille et confortable. À distance de marche d’un accès au Vaporetto et de plusieurs sites d’intérêts. Idéal pour un séjour à Venise. Le wifi est vraiment déficient. Il ne faut pas compter dessus pour planifier vos journées. De plus, si vous y séjournez de courte durée il faut réserver d’avance un bateau taxi pour l’aéroport, surtout si vous avez beaucoup de bagages !

Amazing

The apartment was clean and bright. The master suite had air conditioning. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds and soda were comfortable. My favorite part was the balcony overlooking the canal. Had my coffee in the morning out there; in the evening sat out under the stars and relaxed. If I ever come back to Venice I would stay here again.

Loved location

Great location. Close to everything needed. The host, Federica, was very nice and accommodating. Very roomy apartment. Very user friendly. My only thing I’d recommend is better bed pillows and Wi-Fi. Internet access was not good. If you had to do any computer/phone work, you won’t get much done. I’d recommend this place again.

Beautiful location

Location was just walking minutes away from train station and bus to airport. Supermarket, 40 steps away and lovely cafe across the canal. Venice's short-term rental market has many old accommodations. However, the mold in the master bath could have easily been taken care of with tender loving care. In the master bathroom one sink didn't work and the light over other sink was burned out. Door going from bedroom to bathroom had obviously not been cleaned. Unlike our five other accommodations in Italy the kitchen lacked a microwave, toaster, and only had a French press coffee maker. The online pictures of the balcony's showed nice furniture and looked very appealing. In reality, one baloney had cleaning supplies and a mop bucket with dirty water. The other balcony had four chairs and two tiny tables. We shared these concerns with the owner and she said she will look into.

Perfect for a quick stay

We spent 2 nights here. It was great! The location is perfect with a nice view of a canal from the awesome balcony with a canopy. Came in handy when a storm came through! Was a 5 min walk from the train station. Its a nice quiet area for a good sleep and only a 15min walk to St Marks Square where there is a lot more action. Restaurants and grocery stores very close by. AC is only in one bedroom and the hall leading to the second bedroom. If you leave the door open it will let in the air. The one bathroom does have an odour issue due to the plumbing and canal levels but with the window open and door closed it was fine. The lift is small but worked perfect. Overall this place was perfect and strongly recommended.

2 nights in Venice

This apartment was very spacious, sunny yellow and classic European design--and perfect for 4 adults. The balcony was a very nice added feature! Federica was extremely responsive and helpful (as was Chiara our greeter). Note that transportation in Venice is quite different than the rest of Italy, but it also gave it that uniqueness. Don't miss the Doge's Palace and St. Mark's Basilica tours! Pay attention to the mosquito warning...it's very real. Only suggestion is perhaps a list of recommended restaurants. I know we all have different tastes but LOVE supporting where the "locals" enjoy eating.

Balcony Bliss

The bonus of this property for us was the balcony and the lift! To sit in the morning and evening looking at the canal and activity below was great. Also after a busy day walking it was especially nice not to have to walk up a lot of stairs. The Bakery, supermarket and restaurants close by were also a welcome addition. The apartment is much bigger than the photos show. Close to main tourist attractions, Rialto about 15 mins but there are lots of restaurants and shops only 5 mins away. Just make sure to take mosquito spray as you are of course by the water and we got bites even in the morning which we weren’t expecting as it was Apr. Best to be prepared so not to spoil the experience of this apartment.

Good location but lacking amenities

Good location in the middle of the city… very nice patios overlooking a canal. What was lacking…. stains on the bedding, only one small pillow per person on the bed, no toilet paper, black mold spots on wall in one of the bedrooms, mini TV like 15” and that was it. WiFi very slow

Just like pictures magical

The property is amazing, just like the pictures. Sitting on the Terrace drinking a glass of wine was one of our favorite things. The area is quiet but right around the corner from all the action, restaurants, shops, etc. Easy access to Grand Canal. There is a wonderful bakery across the canal. A bit of a tip, if you need a water taxi to take you to the airport, arrange to meet in front of the hotel around the corner, it easier access with luggage, no stairs they will pick you up at the dock. Make your arrangements with the water taxi company across the canal.

Wonderful

The location is excellent - about a seven minute walk from Stazione di Venezia Santa Lucia. The unit is spacious and very clean. The terrace overlooking the canal is wonderful to sit and soak up the sun with coffee or to enjoy the evening with some wine. The host was very responsive and helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
