Magic stay in Venice

The place is stunningly beautiful and Carlo is the best host ever. Make yourself a favor and instead of going to a boring hotel, pick this B&B to be able to feel an authentic experience without having to spend an extra dime.

The B&B was lovely, but very hard to find. The phone number listed in Expedia is incorrect, and Google Maps also misses the location by enough that it took nearly 2 hours and intercession by the desk clerk at nearby Hotel Bernardi to locate the proprietor, who collected me at Hotel Bernardi and guided me the last 100 meters. Apart from the hunt at the beginning, a lovely stay!

Quirky, old Venetian style. Listed as an albergo but it has only two rooms, with shared dining room and bathroom. Wonderful small garden terrace. The very helpful host turns up to prepare a wonderful breakfast and then is available by phone. So this is not a typical hotel, although the rooms are cleaned every day. When we were there the other room was unoccupied so we had the place to ourselves and it was lovely. Very romantic.

Hands down one of the best experiences traveling in Europe. If you are comfortable with really experiencing Venice, this place is for you. We had our own suite, patio and courtyard. Absolutely charming. Our hosts went above and beyond, including greeting us at 12:30 am. They were great about getting back to us when I had email about our plane delay. GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!!! It is a bed snd breakfast but we had our own key to the property and came and went as we pleased. There is a lovely square right around the corner with a cute bar and pizzeria open till at least 2 am depending. 13 minute walk to Saint Marc’s Square.

A beautiful little 2 bedroom B&B, with a very congenial host Carlo (the only staff we ever saw). Fairly close to the major attractions with lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. A delicious European style breakfast each morning, freshly prepared by Carlo out on a beautiful patio. Cons: Really difficult to find, Google maps does not account for tiny streets that have been walled off. Once found, no answer at the door. A nice woman from the nearby small hotel rescued us and called Carlo. Individual rooms do not have private bathrooms as indicated in the property description. Fortunately no-one was staying in the other room so it was not a big deal. the one bath was huge with a tub separate from the large shower. This would be an ideal lodging for a small family or two couples traveling together.
