The location is very convenient, as the apartment is just a 7-minute walk from the Venice Santa Lucia train station and Piazzale Roma.
In the surrounding area, in addition to the Conad supermarket just 2 minutes from the apartment, you’ll find bars serving excellent cicchetti (traditional Venetian snacks) and restaurants offering great lunches and dinners.
The restaurants I recommend are: Osteria Ae Saracche, Bacaro Quebrado, Trattoria-Pizzeria All’Anfora, Al Grill (for meat), Muro San Stae, Glam (a fine-dining restaurant), and finally Osteria Mocenigo.
The main attractions in Venice are:
- The Rialto Bridge, from which you can admire a beautiful view of the Grand Canal and its ancient Venetian palaces
- St. Mark’s Square, where you can visit St. Mark’s Basilica, the bell tower, the Doge’s Palace, and the Correr Museum.
- The Peggy Guggenheim Collection (Accademia vaporetto stop)
- Palazzo Pisani in Santo Stefano
- the Scuola Grande dei Carmini
