Really enjoyed my stay. From start to end it was truly amazing and such a issue-free experience. The staff was all very kind, helpful and professional. Breakfast was a delight every morning and the pool in the afternoon was the cherry on top. The hotel is very charming and carries a relaxed feel. The location was by far my favourite in the whole island.

Really nice hotel and we really enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful gardens / pool area, however our room was directly above a very noisy kitchen fan which started (and woke us up) before 6.30am and didn’t turn off until 9.30pm.

Great place, a very old property that needs serious money spent on it. The gardens are beautifully maintained. We had two breakfasts and an evening meal, the restaurant was like a geriatric ward, I'm 67 and I reckon I was the youngest there, luckily the staff are (I'm sure) trained in caring for the elderly It's not as grand as you might think

Great site, lovely views, excellent staff and excellent food. Because of its age there were some more modern touches needed. The gardens were well looked after & had beautiful flowers. Our bathroom shower needed some modernisation. Very close to the seafront and reasonable close to the town. The outdoor swimming pool looked very nice.

I had a wonderful stay at The Royal Hotel. It’s a charming, elegant property with beautiful grounds and a perfect location. The atmosphere is calm and refined, and the staff were consistently pleasant, friendly, and eager to help. My room was larger than expected, with a very comfortable king‑sized bed. Some parts of the décor are a little worn, but in a way that feels more like gentle ageing than neglect — it doesn’t take away from the hotel’s character at all. On one day the hotel was clearly short‑staffed and the team were under pressure, but they handled it admirably. Seeing how hard they were working made it easy to be patient. A beautiful hotel with real charm.

A 24 Hour break in paradise

Our stay at the Royal Hotel was very enjoyable. The staff, food and accommodation was first class. This is a beautiful vintage hotel which maintains a high standard in all areas. The beach and carpark are both a short walk from the premises.
