"Beautiful property in a beautiful location. The view was incredible, and the restaurant downstairs was wonderful. My son (11) and I stayed one night as we passed through the region and it was a perfect place."

"I brought three friends from the US for a hut to hut trip in the Dents du Midi and this was our starting point, The Auberge du Grand Paradis had recently been taken over by Kelly and her husband and they are doing a phenomenal job bringing this property back : the facilities are newly renovated and quaint, a typical Swiss chalet with the wonderful smell of wood all around, super clean, in the typical Swiss fashion. "The staff was nice. Soup was good but the main meal was not so great. Breakfast was bad. Main problem was the state of repair of the guesthouse. When were there, there was only about 10 guests staying so almost all rooms were empty, yet for some reason we were given a room that had not a functioning door. Really the door frame was completely broken and we really can't understand why the hotel owner didn't just allocate a different room for us. Toilet doors didn't have locks. Lights in...

"Short walk from train to hotel. Clean, comfortable room. Check-in required deposit which was returned after room inspection by check-out staff. No breakfast available as onsite restaurant was closed for season; one very good option for dinner nearby. "

"Me and my wife shared an absolutely superb 3 nights at Le Grand Montets Hotel. The location itself is in a very peaceful Argentière. Wry warm welcome from the staff on arrival. The hotel is beautiful, typically Savoie with lots of cool decorations throughout. The spa is great for winding down at the end of a busy day. The rooms are also beautiful with great views all around to wake up to. The only really minor thing is that the hotel does not have an onsite restaurant but the staff are more than happy to recommend (and book) restaurants in the local area. They recommended Le Dahu for me and they didn’t let me down because it was stunning. Definitely recommended for a relaxing retreat within easy distance to the bright lights of Chamonix. We will DEFINITELY be back… soon I hope."
