We stayed on a private room that was large, beautifully and simply decorated. Lots of art everywhere. Very cozy common areas with retro furniture. The hostel is in a central area of lofoten, perfect for sightseeing.

We had a nice and quiet stay during our visit, it was off season and really appreciated not having a huge crowd. Although we weren’t able to use any of the outdoor amenities, we can imagine how nice it must be to kayak along the lake behind the property and do bbq and relax by the sauna. The cabin is comfortable, cozy and warm. We wish it could be a little bit brighter in the kitchen area for cooking, but it’s not a deterrent. The walls and roof are quite thin, so bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. We also like that it’s close to a lot of hikes and attractions without it being overly touristy spot.

My husband and I stayed in the apartment and it was fantastic. The rooms were clean and the kitchen allowed us to cook at home. The laundry facilities were I. The main building but you paid a small fee and booked a time. It was not a problem and was easy.

Staff were incredible - super friendly and helpful, more so than anywhere else we stayed all trip, they really made the stay for us. A few small maintenance issues, like the showers kept seeming to clog which meant there was often only one available on our floor - but this was probably the extent of our issues. Big, comfortable bed in our private room. Room was much bigger than we expected. Great to have access to laundry facilities and a well equipped kitchen (kitchen is small, but they’ve done a good job with what they have). All in all, a great budget place to stay in the Lofoten Islands. Great vibe, lovely staff.

Since it was a late check-in, I didn't get to meet the staff, but they were really thoughtful and left the notes and room key in the check-in box outside the café. The cottage for four was super spacious and had that cozy cabin vibe, but the heating inside wasn’t quite enough. There’s a nice terrace, but with all the snow, they hadn’t cleared it, so we couldn’t open the door to enjoy the view. One cool thing is that they have a shared space for guests to chill and mingle. Plus, there’s a sauna nearby where you can relax in a comfy, quiet environment and even catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights.

Decent and clean apartment but it was different to the one in the photos that we booked. It was clean. Only annoying bit was the bathroom drain was blocked and there was no dish soap. Overall, great location to see the northern lights and cute surroundings with a lake at 100m.

Liked the lakeside location and coziness. Stayed in one of the double bedrooms 3 nights. Everything was good but there are signs letting you know of quiet times due to noise carrying throughout the building very easily. Unfortunately, not everyone adhered to the quiet times and I was woken up multiple times throughout my stay with people moving around, talking, and slamming doors. Something to consider if you’re a light sleeper.

Friendly staff and volunteers. NOTE: The kitchen is only open from 8am-10pm. The door is locked after these hours making it extremely inconvenient for those who wake up early for a morning hike or those who arrive late and want to prepare a meal. You cannot access your own food when locked and there are no alternative fridges in the hostel. There are no exceptions. The laundry is only open from 4pm. You are unable to do any washing in the morning. There are no exceptions. If you decide to bring alcohol, you are not permitted to store it in the fridges in the kitchen. There are no other fridges for storage. They don't like their patrons to consume alcohol within the hostel and ask that it is consumed outside by the lake. Not sure how this works during inclement weather conditions. There is no 24hr common area with other fridges or kettle. If you decide to do your washing, you must pay a fee for this. They will ask you to tip them upon payment. If you decide to use the Cafe, they will ask you to tip them, once again. This is not a budget friendly hostel.

Nice stay

Very nice stay at thos hostel. Very clean, quiet and well maintained. Do not forget to remove your shoes before coming in ! The only bad thing is the mattress that was too soft.

Das Apartment war groß genug, Ausstattung großteils 70er Jahre. Herd ging eine Kochplatte nicht. Schränke waren innen klebrig, Geschirr und Besteck alt und zusammengewürfelt. Im Bad war der Wasserhahn defekt. Es besteht hier Renovierungsstau. Für 160 Euro die Nacht ist der Standard leider nicht ausreichend

Veldig fint hostel, sjarm, hyggelige ansatte, god seng med mykt sengetøy, romslig rom, god frokost, lunsj og middag. Renhold hver dag på felles bad. Selvsagt noen som ikke er så flinke til å rydde etter seg, derfor veldig ålreit at renhold er innom. Er ganske lytt mellom rommene. Men ellers en veldig bra opplevelse.
