"Clean and quiet with an amazing Bay view."

"The first thing I noticed upon entering the hallway from the parking lot was that the exterior door was broken, leaving it unlocked all night long. That, and a guy sitting in his car right outside that door for a few hours gave me chills. But I forgot all that once I walked into my room! What a NICE room! 2 beds just for me. My pet peeve of TV's that don't swivel was instantly relieved when I found theirs DO swivel. Very clean room, nice bathroom, 2 sinks, balcony with a view of the inlet, and very quiet room. My only "complaint" was their breakfast system. They have a huge dining room, but all the tables are covered with sheets. They make you either come down and pick up your breakfast OR have it delivered to your room. Pretty cheesy. And the biscuits and gravy were full biscuits, not cut in half like 90% of places that serve this. You don't put whole biscuits in and cover them with gravy, you cut ONE in half then cover them. My room had the most comfy pillows I've ever used in years!!! Nice adjustable shower head with plenty of water pressure! The elevator was an added bonus! I'll definitely stay here again! Nicest hotel I've stayed at in Kitsap County so far! A better TV remote would be a nice touch, the one I got had maybe 10 buttons. All the staff seemed pretty friendly. Yes, I would recommend this place to anyone! You can't see your car from your room, but if you can deal with that, you're fine."

"Our stay at The BayAway was wonderful from start to finish! It provided the perfect landing spot for our three families to stay while we visited our dad in the area, with each family getting an entire floor to themselves. There was tons of privacy as well as shared living space, and we enjoyed meals around the huge dining table that seated all 8 of us. Melissa was a spectacular host with the best communication of any VRBO I've stayed in, and made sure we had all the information we needed at every point before, during and after our stay. Port Orchard is a charming town, and we all enjoyed the many shops and restaurants. But honestly, we were quite happy to just stay at the house which had an incredible view of the waterfront!We look forward to returning on our next visit to see our dad!"
