"A fantastic location in a beautiful and well maintained setting overlooking the town. Yes, we could hear the noise from the birds from time to time, but the only morning when they woke us we simply shut the double glazed window and went to sleep. There was more noise from the local festival - and that simply added colour to our stay. Local people, staff and others were universally friendly. We ended up being taken out to sea on a complete strangers fishing boat for the blessing of Santa...

"An amazing place to stay - an ancestral family home with beautiful grounds and a great outdoor pool. Made very welcome by the owner. Don't expect the trappings of a modern hotel though ( e.g. Air conditioning or modern tech). Some might find it old fashioned but if you like historic houses then you won't find better."
