About 500 meters from the vacation home you can walk in the cool pine forest, where you can rent bicycles. Viareggio is also famous for its carnival; during the summer visitors can admire the beautiful works in papier-mâché in the "Cittadella del Carnevale", which in summer becomes an arena for great shows. Only 30 km from Lucca, the city of 100 churches, famous for its intact city walls, where in summer numerous events take place such as the Lucca Summer Festival with internationally known artists, and the Lucca Comix, the second largest fair in the world for comics and video games, held in the last days of October to early November. 9 km Torre del Lago, hometown of the famous composer Giacomo Puccini, where the Puccini Festival is held in the summer in the large open-air theater; Another activity you can enjoy here is a tour of the lake by boat.
