"Bucolic Beauty in Burgundy We spent a wonderful week with Damien, in the hamlet of 'Fin', just outside Saizy. The room and shared facilities were all clean. Wifi internet worked well. Damien is a genial, generous host who knows a lot about famous Burgundy cuisine and wine. There's well-grounded rumors that he's a good cook--and an even better baker. This was the second hotel in a small village we stayed in (other was in Azay-le-Rideau), and I absolutely loved this one, too. This charming hotel in a 1700's home was at the top of the hill, a block down from the Basilica. There are a number of restaurants and shops in the town. I recommend eating at Auberge de la Coquille, which was just a...

Very cute, comfratable, large room, good water pressure/temperature, the shower-tub combo was perfect. I would stay here again. However, the check in isn't right on Hotels.com. It says that you have to contact the property for check in instructions and lists a phone number. It took us multiple attempts to reach the hotel, and when we did get through they said they didn't speak English and hung up (the listing says they speak English and French). When we got there, the gate is closed and...
