"Incredibly beautiful. Unbeatable views. Did have some issues with the room (TV remote didn’t work which had all of the amenities listed and the phone also didn’t work well - didn’t get the best assistance with that) but otherwise the staff are incredible and so helpful. Would definitely come ..."

small town with a beach, marina, and a few good restaurants. It is worth visiting for a day or two. short drive to Furnas and the hot springs. The people that we met in the village are very friendly.

Downtown is charming. But don't miss Nossa Senhora de la Paz, high above the town--do that first thing in the morning for beautiful lighting and no crowds.
