"Very nice hotel and spa with an excellent riverside location. The grounds are very nice and the rooms have excellent views of the Duoro river. The rooms and bathrooms are good and the breakfast was very good. The reception, bar and restaurant staff were very helpful and worked hard. The restaurant was OK but not exceptional. Overall, an excellent hotel."

"The hotel itself was very nice and comfortable. The only minor issue is its location. It is located in the middle of vineyards with stunning views. However, the road to the hotel is very narrow and winding, with only enough space for one car. We had problems on several occasions finding the access road. Once we were familiar with the surroundings it was no problem. There are also limited dining options nearby (the hotel provides dinner, though, but no lunch) so a car is an absolute necessity. Still, I would recommend this hotel for the friendly staff, the great wines on offer, and the amazing views. "

"Room size is good. Beds are huge and comfortable. Good breakfast is included. Indoor pool and sauna are nice. Hot tub not hot enough and overall hotel is little outdated "
