Home Sweet Home VRSA - Single-storey house in the center of Vila Real de Santo António

"We spent 5 nights at João and Cristina’s cozy Algarve cottage, and it was a delightful stay!The check-in process was smooth – both João and Cristina were there to greet us and to show us around and answer any questions we had. The house is small – but perfect for a couple or for a couple with a child. The house is all on one level and tastefully decorated. The double bed was comfortable, and the bathroom is modern with a nice walk-in shower. The living room has a comfortable sofa, and the dining table can seat 2-4 people. The kitchen has everything needed to cook meals at home. Also, the entire place was exceptionally clean! The home is air conditioned and there are two good-sized closets.There are stairs up to the roof-top patio which was also nicely furnished. We enjoyed soaking up some sun on the lounge chairs during the day, and during the evening, we enjoyed a glass of wine on the patio sofa. The house is located in a very safe neighborhood and it’s an easy walk to the town plaza where there are shops and restaurants. João and Cristina also provided bicycles in case we wanted to use them during our stay. There is metered car parking on the street, but João showed us where the free parking was just about 2 blocks away. João and Cristina kept in touch with us to make sure we were enjoying our stay. They’re a lovely couple who obviously take pride in their property and in the comfort of their guests. We highly recommend this cozy cottage and hope to return next year!"
"No frills kind of place. The business take 2 floors of what seems to be a regular residential building. You need to call to arrange check-in, but it was easy and quick.The commercial, non-touristy area and its overall appearance didn't do justice to how clean, and comfortable the room was."
