"Hotel Catedral was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. The facility was great and was in a great location. Our kids liked the breakfast buffet, especially the pastries :) The balcony bar was really nice with a great view of the catedral and the historic area. We had the unfortunate timing of our visit being during a few days of protests during our stay which closed off roads around the area as well as the main Zocalo itself being closed off for world cup preparations but nothing that the hotel could do anything about."

"Tucked in the middle of central historic Mexico City was this place. Even when our Uber was dropping us off staff was running out into the street to help us with our suitcases. The gal checking us in was beyond amazing and sweet. Our room was big and gorgeous with a view of the street. There were fresh apples at every hotel floor with a fridge of freshwater everywhere. Made to order breakfast was included and was delicious and checkout was at noon. The bed was super comfortable they were blackout curtains and an amazing coffee maker. The fridge was filled with soda and had room for more stuff if we wanted. My favorite part was the friendly and gracious staff. I 1000% would stay here again♥️"

"Terrific location and good comfortable beds. Friendly staff. The problem I had was with Expedia.There was civil unrest and the area around the hotel was cordoned off. I had enormous problems leaving and entering the area and getting to the hotel. It took about an hour, it was always unpleasant arguing with the police and it wasn't always possible. One afternoon the police wouldn't let anyone through the police lunes for a couple of hours I cancelled my last night - I couldn't risk not arriving at the airport - but Expedia (& the hotel) weren't able to reimburse me."

"The room was great and had a great view of the city. The pools was great too. The food was amazing. We wished we tried all breakfast during our stay but only ate there 3 times. The food was great, with a mix of western and mexican food. Mostly ate the Mexican food though! Lots of choices for breakfast too. The staff was very helpful. The place is close to many bars and restaurants. Uber drivers can easily drop you off. The place was beautiful to look at. Lastly, we appreciated that we got upgraded to a premium suite!"
