"The stuff in the front desk was great! At least those who I met. The only problem was the very bad gas smell and the room they provided was right in front of the construction. There was a terrible gas smell that we could not keep the balcony open to have a fresh air. Also, when I called in before booking through Expedia, the lady tried to charge me for parking, and a few other stuff and the price was high. However, Expedia had a very good deal. Besides, the parking was free and no charge as I found out when arrived. Overall was satisfied. "

"It's a lovely and cozy cabin and ideal for families. We were two families and we fit beautifully. The authentic pine paneling creates a really lovely winter feel. We didn't use the fireplace as our kids are a little squeamish around real fires, but it's a beautiful option. The bathrooms are a-plenty. Every room has it's own bathroom which is pretty dang special. Very clean.The first day had plenty of snow for the kids, but it melts pretty quickly. Nothing the owners can control, of course. We will probably try again with a December or January stay for colder fun. We suggest you be very respectful of the neighbors. If you're respectful of the neighbors, they are also respectful, kind and generous to you. If you're looking for a place to party hard with no consequences, you'll probably want to choose a different location. "

"Nightmare Stay: Spider Infestation, Unresponsive Host, and Useless VRBO Support.We booked this cabin for President’s day wknd. It turned into a disaster. Within minutes of arriving late at night, we found multiple large spiders (1"–2"), webs across ceilings, closets, and even near the bed, plus visible egg sacs. It was clearly an infestation. We immediately messaged the host, Jon, through VRBO. My wife slept on the sofa with the lights on; I barely slept.Next morning, Jon dismissed the issue, blamed us for not calling his phone, insisted “no insects were detected,” and told us to leave immediately for “health/safety reasons.” We rushed out, never unpacked, and waited hours in a parking lot while he ignored messages and refused to coordinate a refund. With no pet‑friendly options on a holiday weekend, we drove 4.5 hrs. home exhausted. He even sent a checkout reminder on the original departure date.VRBO support was equally terrible—hours on hold, dropped calls, repeated promises of refunds that never materialized. Days later, they admitted no claim had been created and told us to dispute the charge with our credit card, despite acknowledging it was a health/safety issue. Their “guarantees” mean nothing.Days later, the host finally claimed a refund was issued but wouldn’t confirm the amount. Convenient timing, considering VRBO’s 12‑day review window. Beyond the infestation, the host showed zero concern, responsibility, or basic empathy. Avoid this property and platform."

"Great location right by the Village. Spacious home, plenty of room for our two families. Kitchen stocked well enough to prepare several meals. Lovely fireplace, comfortable couch in living room. Water pressure good, heat in showers varies from fair to good. Brigitte was prompt in responding to our concerns, including sluggish heater downstairs and leak from upstairs bath into downstairs bedroom. Home is quaint but dated, with carpeting and upholstered furniture triggering some allergies. "
