Beautiful stone house near Garlenda, 10 minutes to the sea, pets welcome

The property is surrounded by a wall, making it escape-proof for our four-legged friends!

The location on the map is only an approximation. With Google StreetView you unfortunately cannot get to the house if you give the address. The reason for this is unknown. Please enter Via Bono e Martino and you will land at the house.

It is a beautiful, lovingly restored natural stone house from the 16th Century.
A large living-dining area of approx. 70 m2 invites a larger family or group to celebrate. The large dining table is extendable for a party of approx. 12 people.
The house can accommodate up to 7 people.
A fireplace in the living room gives romance and cozy warmth.
The kitchen with gas stove is fully equipped.
Of course there is satellite TV and free WiFi.
On the upper floor there are 3 spacious bedrooms with 2 bathrooms.
Adjacent to the living-dining area there is a beautiful garden (approx. 1000 m2) with olives, pomegranate, apricots, khaki, figs and mandarins, as well as a small vine arbor and a palm tree. The highlight is a wonderful swimming pool (4x10m) that makes you want to swim, run around and have a lazy day on the deck chair.
Please note that the pool is not secured and therefore represents a danger to small children who cannot swim!

The house is in a very sunny location. There is a large table on the terrace that offers space for many people who want to enjoy a good meal with wine. There is a grill, as well as a wonderful covered patio, should it rain.

The area offers many leisure activities, be it in the mountains in the hinterland (hiking, mountain biking, racing bikes), or on the coast with the wonderful beaches of the Ligurian coast, the typical Italian cities, Alassio and Albenga with bars, restaurants and exquisite shopping.
The area is predestined for cyclists who can let off steam on many roads with different altitudes and little traffic. Therefore, the house is also very suitable as a training camp. Bicycles and other sports equipment are stored in a locked garage.

The sea can be reached in about 10 minutes.

Monaco, Nice, Genoa and Cinque Terre can be reached within 1-2 hours.
Golfers will find the famous Garlenda golf course at their feet (18 holes, length - 6.085 yards / 5537 m, par 72).

We welcome everyone who wants to enjoy carefree holidays: couples, families, groups, with and without a dog!

A well equipped gorgeous home from home in the sunshine
Myself, partner, teenage daughter and my mum and dad stayed for 10 days. The house itself is truly stunning, inside and out! The kitchen and utility room have every need catered for. We had so much space for all of us as the house is so big! The gorgeous gardens added to the relaxing feel of this fantastic hideaway! The pool is the biggest one we have had on a private house rent! Fantastic! We spent many a hour in there either swimming lengths or playing games! When we cooked and ate in, the large wooden table outside lit by candle light was amazing! The local village had plenty of restaurants, as do the surrounding towns, if you don’t mind driving. We drove by several local beaches, but due to Covid we decided not to venture onto the beaches. The house was the perfect place to relax and unwind and make special memories, whilst staying safe through Covid. The bedrooms are very spacious with comfortable beds, as are the bathrooms with powerful showers. The quiet neighbourhood was a friendly residential area. Dr Angela, the host, was on hand via email or phone to ensure it was a smooth holiday. There were a lot of mosquito’s in the evening, but we had bought plenty of candles, coils and sprays to stay protected! We highly recommend staying here to any family (any age) or group of friends.

Great family holiday house
The whole family - mum, dad, 5 year old twins and two cocker spaniels - thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this stunning house. There is lots of space inside and outside the house and gardens. The house is well equipped and beautiful furnished and you feel at home very quickly. We all loved the pool and the children spent nearly all of their waking hours in there. The spacious enclosed garden allowed the dogs to safely roam around and they soon got used to moving out the way of the robot lawn mower. We visited a few local places, most notably Villanova where we had a great lunch at the Osteria and amazing focaccia from the local bakery. We also visited the local Olive Oil producer which was much more interesting than it sounds and we now have not only a large quantity of unfiltered Olive Oil, we also have numerous kitchen items beautifully made from the olive wood. Dealing with Angela was great and she responds quickly and is keen to ensure everything is ok with the house. The information provided by Angela in the house book and arrival email is really useful and comprehensive. We would definitely recommend a stay at this house for a relaxing family holiday.

Schöne Tage in Ligurien
Schönes geräumiges Haus in Garlenda mit eingezäuntem Garten (große Terrasse schön möbliert) und Pool. Das Haus ist mit allen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet. Die Fotos geben alles sehr gut wieder. In Villanova d’Albenga gibt es alle Geschäfte für den täglichen Bedarf und auch Alassio ist mit dem Auto in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Viele nützliche Tipps von Frau Jacobi haben uns das Einleben sehr erleichtert und waren Basis für viele schöne Ausflüge. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und empfehlen das Haus sehr gerne weiter.

Leider war dieses Haus eine absolute Enttäuschung für uns. Es erwartete uns ein völlig verwilderter (leider nicht im schönen Sinne), ungepflegter Garten. Neben dem Pool lag eine schon längere Zeit tote Maus, die Liegen am Pool waren alle (!) kaputt. Der Pool selber war sauber, aber durch eine braune Verfärbung der Wand am Wasserrand (im Inserat extra anders fotografiert) nicht wirklich schön. Im Haus überall abgeplatzter Putz an den Wänden, Hundehaare und Schmutz auf alten Decken, die über das Sofa geworfen wurden. In der Küche angekommen, flogen uns Motten aus dem Vorratsraum entgegen. Dort ist eine Ansammlung von altem, angebrochenen Essen von Vormietern. Im Kühlschrank waren tote Insekten und alte, offene Lebensmittel. Neben dem Kühlschrank stand ein Trockner mit nasser Wäsche drin. Die gesamte Küche war klebrig und dreckig dafür aber mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Die Bäder waren nicht schön oder sauber, aber okay. Die Schlafzimmer waren alles andere als schön (Hundehaare auf den frisch? bezogenen Betten, kaputte und mit Kinderstickern beklebte Heizungen), aber die Matratzen ganz gut. Der Fernseher war leider den gesamten Aufenthalt kaputt. Nachts durchgehend sehr lautes, aggressives Hundegebell, wir haben sehr wenig geschlafen. Wir konnten zum Glück auf 2 Wochen (sind nur wegen der Kinder geblieben) kürzen. Als ich fragte ob eine Reduktion der Gebühr oder Preisanpassung möglich wäre, weil wir 3 Tage selber geputzt und gepflegt haben, werde ich ignoriert.

Urlaub in Villanova D`Albenga
Wir waren drei ältere Ehepaare und haben 14 Tage im Juni das sehr schöne alte Pfarrhaus mit seinem traumhaften Garten und dem wunderschönen Pool genossen. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und im Vorratsraum gibt es einen sehr großen Kühl - Gefrierschrank, Herd, Waschmaschine und Trockner. Die Ordnung hier ist allerdings gewöhnungsbedürftig und auch neben dem Haus gibt es einige nicht gerade ordentliche Ecken. Dafür ist das Haus sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und auch der Außensitzplatz ist ist sehr schön. Die Schlafzimmer sind groß und die Betten sehr gut. Auch sind vor allen Fenstern Fliegengitter, sodass man gut lüften kann, ohne die manchmal lästigen Fliegen überall zu haben. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit und immer zu erreichen. Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit, die wir sehr genossen haben.

Wunderschönes Haus mit tollem Garten und Pool
Wir haben einen herrlichen Aufenthalt in dieser Ferienvilla genossen. Das Haus ist riesig, der Garten wunderschön und eingewachsen und der Pool einfach traumhaft. Im Inneren ist die Einrichtung in Teilen etwas in die Jahre gekommen, auch besser nutzbare Kleiderschränke wären von Vorteil. Ebenso könnte der Terassenbereich etwas mehr Pflege gebrauchen. Trotzdem ist die Villa uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen und wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen! Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch der überaus freundliche Kontakt zur Vermieterin! Das ist nicht selbstverständlich.

Giardino e piscina meravigliosi….
La casa si trova in un borgo caratteristico dell’entroterra ligure,facile da raggiungere. È un posto tranquillo,ma non isolato e soprattutto al riparo dalla calura estiva. La casa è molto grande e dotata di ogni confort,le stanze da letto al primo piano sono tutte spaziose e con molte finestre. Il giardino e la piscina sono il punto forte della casa,meravigliosi!!!! Consiglierei alla proprietaria di aggiungere le varie istruzioni in casa in italiano e rivedere le indicazioni per la tv perché non aiutano a cambiare il satellite per i canali italiani.. La proprietaria della casa è sempre disponibile e pronta a risolvere gli inconvenienti che possono nascere! Se avete bisogno di relax e tranquillità è il posto ideale!

Spacious and well-equipped with beautiful garden
We spent a lovely week at Angela's beautiful house. The thick stone walls made it very enjoyable during the warmest hours. The garden is beautiful and the pool is very nice. Everything is very well kept and the house is fully equipped with everything we needed. We can highly recommend it.
